Too noisy
The hotels location, the staff and the room were all completely fine and lovely. However, we got very little sleep because of the amount of noise which went on late into the late and the started very early in the morning. When we then tried to get an afternoon nap, there was some awful waiters from the restaurant next door trying to sing. Amalfi is beautfiful and Id definitely go back to the town. Dont stay in Amalfi if you want sleep though as the Cathedral bells ring extremely ealry for mass and the music in the Piazza goes on until very late. We ended up needing an awful lot of sleep when we got home.
Stay in Sorrento and visit Amafli for a day trip. Its tiny and you can do the whole town in about half a day.

Lovely little hotel
I was a little scared to stay here as it was the first hotel I had ever booked without any recommnedations. That said, my experience was wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the terrace was great. The hotel is smack dab in the middle of town so its close to everything. The restuarant next door, La Perla, was excellent. The only thing lacking was a nice view from the window, but that is a minor quibble.

Friendly and comfortable hotel, great location
We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The friendly staff gave us useful advice about the local area and the breakfast was great (especially the coffee!).
Traveller's tip on dining
We had a great meal at Il Teatro - turn left out of the hotel and go along the alley and youll find it. Family-run, great food and characterful atmosphere and obviously a locals haunt (instead of the usual tourist-focussed places).
