Good Hotel.In City Centre
clean & tidy hotel,staff seemed friendly & attentive.we had a room looking onto river ouse which was great.well placed for shopping & bars + eating,only grumble with hotel room was the poor shower which was’t fast enough water trickled out. all in all would recommend

Too compact, but centrally located
Good Points: Just 5 min walk from the train station, by the river. York Minster is about 10 min walk. Friendly staff and nice breakfast. Not so good: I have never stayed in such a small room before, the room is tiny even by European standards. After single bed there is just walking space and one of those plastic moulded chairs.But there is no space to pull it out or sit in it. I had to sit on the bed to watch lovely 28 inch LCD TV. If you are claustrophobic or a tall person don’t even think about going there. It would be nicer if they have a bath, but shower is good.

Room ok hotel not ok
Hotel room was very nice, no complaints with it. But the hotel itself was not so nice. We stayed from fri night until sun night. There was a constant smell in the hotel all the time we were there. Think there is a few different places to eat and it just had a funny food odour all around. It is a bit of a maze to the room too. We had to get lift to 1st floor then walk about 5 mins to get another lift to 4th floor. Location very good though.
"Akash" - Indian restaurant to the left of the hotel is fab!!
