With over half the town’s population involved in the ceramics industry, Yingko is the ideal destination in Taiwan to learn about and watch the process of the craft, not to mention purchase a few mementos. Discover the wide variety of pottery produced here by master artisans.
Nearby, your next destination is the neighboring town of Sanhsia. Explore the lanes of old-style buildings decorated with intricate wood carvings as well as bronze and stone sculptures. Then, visit the town’s landmark, Tsushih Temple. Ornately adorned with stone and camphor wood carvings, this 18th-century temple is an example of excellent Taiwanese architecture and craftsmanship.
