The festival
Each year, the town of Torre del Lago, where Giacomo Puccini spent his later life, pays tribute to the great composer by showcasing his operas. The festival attracts acclaimed directors, artists, and stage designers, as well as a following of dedicated opera lovers. The open-air stage sits on the shore of Massaciuccoli lake, creating a dramatic setting befitting the emotion of Puccini's compositions.
