Food

Victorian Room
3595 S Las Vegas Blvd Call for info: (702) 737 711124 hrs
This lively, central coffee shop's decor features red leather booths, stained glass and polished brass. Graveyard specialties like New York steak-and-eggs and 24/7 T-bone or prime rib deals that don't cut corners make it a favourite cheap after-hours eatery on The Strip.
Steak House
2880 Las Vegas Blvd South Call for info: (702) 794 3767Tue-Fri 17:00-23:00; Sat 17:00-24:00; Sun 09:30-13:30, 17:00-23:00
In a town filled with meat mongers, the one under the big top is, well, tops. All clowning aside, this place takes itself very seriously, resembling a British hunting lodge with lots of dark wood and an elegant bar. There's a good Sunday champagne brunch.
Taqueria Cañonita
3377 Las Vegas Blvd South Call for info: (702) 414 3773Sun-Thu 11:00-23:00, Fri-Sat 11:00-24:00
Tacos in Italy? Si signore. Gorditas, rellenos and Yucatecan extras like pork roasted in banana leaves are paired with housemade corn tortillas. The exhibition kitchen and colorful Mexican tiles and folk art are visual highlights. Request patio seating overlooking the Grand Canal.
Nobu
4455 Paradise Rd Call for info: (702) 693 500018:00-23:00
Chef Matasuhisa's sequel to his NYC namesake is every bite as good as the original. The beats are down-tempo, the setting pure Zen. Andean influences surface in spicy offerings like anticucho chicken skewers. The kobe beef is sublime, the cocktails creative and dessert downright decadent.
Renoir
3400 S Las Vegas Blvd Call for info: (702) 791 7223Tue-Sat 18:00-22:00
A frequent award winner for the best food in town, chef Alessandro Stratta's masterpiece is romantic and decorated with originals by the namesake painter. The seasonal cuisine is as haute and imaginative as the service is superb. Jackets and reservations are suggested; no smoking. The wine list is world-class.
