Central Delhi has scores of reminders of British rule in India and numerous historic monuments can be viewed here. At its core, the majestic Rajpath runs from the grand Rashtrapati Bhavan in the west, to the India Gate war monument, designed by Edwin Lutyens, in the east. The National Museum is situated south of the central junction. Connaught Place, a flourishing commercial center, lies to the north of Central Delhi. Most of the airline offices, travel agents, and banks are here. In Central Delhi, tourists can stroll through ancient structures and even the Delhi Zoo, close to the Purana Qila. Central Delhi offers shopping experiences from the stylish to the bargain basement, with cafes and restaurants that suit the general business crowd as well as international visitors. Other prominent places in the area include Chandni Chowk and Pahar Ganj.

Gurgaon, a dynamic township, is located in the National Capital Region – Delhi. It is one among the newest of Indian cities and perhaps the fastest growing corporate center in the country. Gurgaon is a success story—an entire transformation from a once sleepy settlement into a high-tech address with skyscrapers all around. The city of Gurgaon is located at the outskirts of Delhi and is an ideal destination in India for investment in the realty sector. Close proximity to Delhi and exceptional infrastructure has contributed in Gurgaon turning out to be one of the most significant corporate and industrial hubs of Haryana. Shopping malls flourish in Gurgaon and tourists can move around the town and enjoy scenic surroundings. The city also draws tourists to the Damdama Lake and the Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary.

Karol Bagh is situated 2 km from the New Delhi railway station. Previously a residential area, it is at present a commercial hot spot with one of the oldest shopping areas in this lively metropolis. North Delhi is also known as Old Delhi. Regarded as the capital of Muslim India from the early centuries, it is home to a number of forts, monuments, and mosques. This fortified city has a long and remarkable history. This area was on one occasion bounded by strong protective walls, of which only fragments remain. Even these days, the remains of its magnificent history can be spotted in Kashmiri Gate, Ajmeri Gate, Turkman Gate, and Delhi Gate. North Delhi is further characterized by the bazaar of Chandni Chowk, one of India's most famous wholesale and retail markets, situated opposite to the Red Fort, and by the Jama Masjid which is the biggest mosque in India. A tour of North Delhi is all about age-old buildings, crowded lanes, an array of food, and lively bazaars. Visitors can enjoy shopping for electronic goods, jewellery, stationery, footwear, and woolens at reduced rates.

South Delhi is the area south of Connaught Place and Rajpath. This area has great historical and cultural importance. Hauz Khas, a shopper's paradise, is also home to historical monuments such as a madarsa (college), tombs, and a mosque built by Firoz Shah Tughluq, a ruler of the Tughlaq Dynasty. Visitors find art galleries and numerous shops selling furniture, clothes, and jewellery. Dilli Haat, sited opposite INA market, is yet another fashionable shopping arcade displaying the richness of Indian culture with stalls set up by craftsmen selling a reasonably-priced range of handicrafts and fabrics. There are also great places for a quick lunch or snack, or to savor a variety of authentic cuisine in South Delhi. The Bahai Temple, shaped like a lotus; Qutab Minar; Purana Qila; and Lodi Gardens are some of the other points of interest for a vacationer. South Delhi also offers a number of leisure activities including golf, jogging, and swimming.
