Entry restrictions: Women of all nationalities should dress appropriately with a scarf to cover their heads and an overcoat for their bodies.
Passports: Valid passport required by all.
Visas: Required by all except the following:
(a) travellers holding a re-entry permit issued by Afghanistan;
(b) transit passengers not leaving the airport and continuing their journey within two hours.
Types of visa and cost: Single-entry: £30. Double-entry: £40. Multiple-entry: £55 (up to three months); £115 (up to six months). Enquiries should be made at the Embassy for details about visiting Afghanistan.

Application requirements: (a) Company or sponsorship letter with name and address of commissioning firm or person. (b) Application form. (c) Valid passport. (d) One passport-size photo. (e) Fee, (payable by cash (except when applying by post), postal order or cheque). (f) Registered SAE if replying by post. (g) Return or onward ticket and documents required for onward journey. (h) Sufficient funds for duration of stay.
Working days required: Two to five.
