Walk the deck of the 1863 Star of India, a favourite at the Maritime Museum on the Embarcadero. The iron-hulled windjammer, built on the Isle of Man, is still sailed on occasion. Early on, the U.S. Navy recognized the benefits of San Diego's natural harbour, which continues to be a sailor's paradise. Take to the waterharbour cruises, whale watching and kayak tours await you.
