Too steep for farming, St. Thomas gained prominence as a seaport. Some of the island's best seafood bistros are found in Frenchtown, a once-sleepy fishing village that's now a hot locale for nightlife. Wander the winding streets lined with charming wooden houses, then kick back with a famous St. Thomas banana daiquiri. You'll be in no hurry to leave.
