At just after 9:00 AM on 19 April , 1995, the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City collapsed in a tragic bombing that would forever alter the American psyche. The memorial raised in its place commemorates the 168 lives lost with a symbolic, illuminated chair for each victim. Twin gateways engraved with the time of the blast frame the site.
