George Washington may not have slept here, but he's said to have attended services here at St. Michael's Cathedral in Bridgetown. The island's architectural treasures also include two of the three remaining 17th-century Jacobean-style manors built in the Western Hemisphere. An active synagogue dating to 1656 is another significant Barbados landmark.
