Legoland California is theme park heaven for children one hour south of Disneyland. The park's pièce de résistance is Miniland, a showcase of five U.S. landscapes re-created with 20 million Lego bricks in 1:20 and 1:40 scale. The realistic-looking Manhattan scene features skyscrapers and bridges as well as in-line skaters and joggers at Central Park. You can also see the California Coast, New Orleans, Washington, D.C. and a New England harbour.
