 Paradise Island is easy to get to as it's connected to mainland Nassau by a bridge and is only about half an hour from the airport. Atlantis is the main resort on the island. It's a vast holiday centre with a water park and large casino and even if you stay at one of the other hotels, you can get access to its facilities.
FThe first thing that strikes you when you get to the beach is the colour of the sea - even through the breakers it is easy to see the beautiful blue colour that gets darker as the sea deepens.
 There's often a good breeze along the beach on Paradise Island so it's another of those places where it is all too easy to get burnt without realising it.
The favourite beach activity on Paradise Island is jet skiing, and although a little pricey compared with some other beaches, it's something well worth trying once - and what a great place to learn!
