Week 7

|
Copacabana Beach is a long and relatively wide stretch of sand, the backdrop to the beach formed by a line of hotels and restaurants. Many hotels provide guarded loungers and towels for their guests and it is advisable to make use of these facilities if possible. And, as is the case with many busy beaches, it's also sensible not to take any valuables and only enough money for drinks and snacks. It's also best not to use credit cards other than in hotels.
The nightlife in Rio is busy, energetic and uninhibited. So if staying out until the early hours is what you want then you won't be disappointed.
On days where you would rather not go to the beach, must-do attractions include a visit to the world famous statue of Christ overlooking the city or a cable-car ride to Sugar Loaf Mountain.
