Week 4

Bondi Beach is Australia's most famous beach. The mixed atmosphere means it will pretty much suit most visitors, whether you're looking for a fashionable sunbathe or good surf.
Admittedly, the beach can get crowded but with such a vast width of sand to choose from, there is always a spot to place your towel.
A great way to see the beach at its best is to visit it early in the morning when no one is around apart from a few die-hard surfers. Experiencing the fresh air and peaceful morning light before the crowds arrive on a clear day is a real treat.
Famous for having the first lifeguard station in Australia, it has had to rescue countless swimmers in trouble. It's important when you're there to make sure you stick within the flags. Another tip is to look out for the Blue Bottle jellyfish - not only in the water when the wind is on-shore but also along the sand - treading on even a dead one is a painful experience.
For many, going to Bondi Beach doesn't always live up to the expectation but love it or loathe it, Bondi is still one of the most famous beaches in the world and deserves a visit.
