Expedia.co.uk Announces New Marketing Director
Elyas Chowdhury has been appointed Expedia.co.uk’s new marketing director
Elyas, 33, brings to Expedia nine years of mainly FMCG experience from a variety of high profile organisations and brands including Nestle Rowntree (Kit Kat, Polo), Kraft Foods International (Philadelphia), Premier Foods (Typhoo) and a spell at Walt Disney World Florida.
Having worked in both developing and mature markets, Elyas will help steer Expedia to the next stage in its brand development as one of biggest and most established online travel companies in the UK.
Commenting on the role he said: “Online travel is a massive lifestyle opportunity and the challenge of establishing brand credentials is equally as big. The Expedia.co.uk brand is extremely well placed on all fronts.”
Outside of work Elyas has recently been writing a screenplay, an historical drama for which he has spent time researching in the UK and India. He is a fervent supporter of Leicester City.
