Promotion

The July Promotion free weekend stays (“Promotion”) consists of a prize draw for customers making a qualifying booking with Expedia between 15th July 2008 and 31st July 2008. Customers making a qualifying booking with Expedia between 15 July 2008 and 31 July 2008 will be entered into a Prize Draw to be held on 4th August 2008 (“Prize Draw”) from which 105 customers will be drawn, (each a “Winner”).

Prize

Winners may book with Expedia at no charge a hotel stay of two consecutive nights in a twin/double room (breakfast included) in a Marriott hotel listed in this list (each a “Prize”) in accordance with the following rules.

Rules

1. A qualifying booking (“Qualifying Booking”) is a standalone Marriott hotel or package booking including a Marriot hotel component made by a customer between 00.01 GMT on 15 July 2008 and 23.59 GMT on 31st July 2008 with Expedia. Only the lead customer making the Qualifying Booking will be entered into the Prize Draw. Customers making more than one Qualifying Booking during the Promotion will only be entered into the Prize Draw once.
2. Customers making a Qualifying Booking will be automatically entered into the Prize Draw by Expedia.
3. The Prize Draw will occur on 4th August 2008. Winners will be drawn at random by the judges, who shall be two representatives Expedia or Expedia’s agents. The judges’ decision is final. No correspondence or communication will be entered into.
4. Winners will be notified by email after the Prize Draw day. Winner details for the Prize Draw shall be available for one month after the entry period is completed. To access the winner’s details, send a stamped SAE to Expedia's address below.
5. Each Winner is entitled to book a free hotel stay of two consecutive nights in a twin/double room (breakfast included) in a Marriott hotel listed in this list.
6. To redeem the Prize, use the information in the Winner’s notification email to telephone Expedia’s Customer Contact Centre and book the hotel stay.
7. The Prize must be booked by 31st July 2009 and travel must take place between 1 September 2008 and 1 September 2009. Room night stays are subject to availability. Usual booking terms and conditions apply. Validity of the Prize cannot be extended.
8. Hotel details, dates and times cannot be varied once they are booked. Hotels stays cannot be taken with any other hotel provider. All Prize hotel stays are subject to the terms and conditions under which they are issued including Marriott’s general booking conditions.
9. Each Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-changeable. Cash or credit alternatives will not be offered. Expedia will not substitute prizes of a similar value under any circumstances. No substitution, transfer or assignment of a Prize is permitted.
10. If any Winners are untraceable after Expedia’s reasonable efforts or Winners do not use the Prize within the time specified by the Rules, Expedia shall not have any liability for such non-use.
11. Prize cannot be applied to the cost of any previously purchased reservations or any other miscellaneous charges.
12. Prize does not include transport to or from the Marriott hotel destination or any transfers.
13. Winners will be responsible for obtaining where necessary, valid passports and visas and appropriate vaccinations and inoculations. It is strongly recommended that travellers take out adequate travel insurance.
14. Any Winner may at Expedia’s option be required to participate in publicity accompanying or resulting from the Promotion.
15. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and with the exception of liability arising either from fraud, or from death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Expedia or its employees, Expedia excludes all liability howsoever arising connected with the Prizes and all warranties, conditions, undertakings, terms and obligations implied by law (whether by statue, common law or otherwise).
16. Subject to paragraph 15, Expedia’s total aggregate liability to all entrants to the Prize Draw shall be two thousand five hundred pounds Sterling (£2,500).
17. Expedia shall be entitled to terminate or modify the Promotion or modify these Rules at any time by publishing any such modification or termination on www.expedia.co.uk.
18. The Promotion and these Rules are governed by and shall be construed with the laws of England and Wales. Each entrant and Expedia irrevocably agree that the courts of England have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with the Promotion or these Rules.
