There are ramps at the airport where necessary and wheelchairs are available upon request. Toilets for disabled passengers are also available.
Conference and Business Facilities:
Money and communications: ATMs and bureaux de change are available in the terminals. Internet points are available in the terminals.
Eating and drinking: The airport has a variety of fast-food outlets, bars and restaurants.
Shopping: There are a variety of gift shops at the airport. Duty-free stores are available in Terminals 2 and 3.
Luggage: There are lockers available at the airport, but these are suitable only for small items. Porters are available to help with luggage for a tip. There is a lost and found office (tel: (998) 848 7200).
Other facilities: Pharmacy, medical centre, beauty parlour and baggage wrapping services are available.
Information and Help Desks:
An information booth is located at the main entrance to Terminal 2. There are airport representatives in both terminals, to provide information on the airport and the location of facilities. For information prior to travel, passengers should contact their airline, as there is no dedicated information telephone number for the airport. Alternatively, passengers can e-mail the airport.
Car Parks:
Car parks are available at all terminals; they are open 24 hours a day, and are patrolled by a security service.
Driving Directions:
Drivers should take Carretera Cancún-Chetumal until the km 22 exit, and then follow signs for the airport.
Public Transport and taxis:
Road: Bus: There is an official public shuttle service from the airport to Cancún (tel: (998) 848 0335; website: www.cancunsharedshuttle.com) and the Riviera Maya, making a number of stops at various hotels and towns. The shuttle leaves the airport when the bus is full and journey times can be lengthy. Tickets can be purchased at the desk in the baggage reclaim area. Shuttles run door-to-door services to hotels in and around Cancun; it is possible and recommended to reserve a shuttle in advance, via the website. A public bus service links the airport with the Cancún bus station, but this is not a recommended option for travellers.
Taxi: An official taxi company (tel: 1 800 317 1921; website: www.cancun-taxi.com) provides individual and group services from the airport. Taxis can be reserved in advance on line, or paid for at the airport just after the Arrivals hall.
