“Can't say enough about it”

This was a fantastic hotel with exemplary service. It seemed as though the hotel, at least the part we stayed in, had been recently refurbished. It was immaculate everywhere, all the time. Breakfast was included in our visit and was a gorgeous buffet of anything you'd ever want for breakfast and the service was fantastic. The front desk and supporting staff were also incredibly helpful. I visited with my husband and 3-yr old for a weekend and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone, old or young.

“Marriott hotel lives u to it's name”

My husband and I both like to treat ourselves when going away for weekends. However, now that we have a 14 month old daughter, it's not easy to know what to expect from a 5* hotel. We were not disappointed. Every one of our needs was met, our stay was made very welcome and comfortable. The location of this hotel is superb, it;s right next to a lovely little park, and we've walked few times along the river to the lake, which was breathtaking. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who would like a care-free, comfortable, luxurious stay in Zurich. And don't forget to get a nice relaxing massage in the hotel's spa - it's not a massive spa, but nice all the same.

“Good hotel if you get a discount”

I've stayed here on three occasions, and usually it's a good visit. On this particular visit, just one downside during check-in: I reserved a deluxe room, on the North Wing (the annex, but newer building and larger rooms). The front desk, however, checked me into a much smaller standard room in the main building. When I went to complain, she (front desk lady) claimed she was actually "upgrading me" because it's in the "main building and more convenient". Yea, right - the room was about 30% smaller and not very well designed (long and narrow). Finally, after me complaining for about 10 minutes and showing her the print-out of the room I booked, she switched me, but it was a hassle. On the good sides: This hotel is *very* close to the main train station (hauptbahnhof), and it's an easy walk from there with your luggage to the hotel (train from ZRH is about 12 times cheaper than a taxi, and the train is quicker in rush hour). Took me 5 or 6 minutes to walk. The hotel is just to the north of the main business and old town, but again - an easy and nice walk down the LImat. The room I finally got was good (on the North wing) - remodeled, clean, and comfortable. On the down sides: It's way over-priced if you don't get a good deal. I got a great rate on Expedia, but normally I wouldn't stay here - Marriott wanted 2x more a night on their website for the same room. It's a bit of an ugly building - definitely for business, not a romantic trip!

“Zurich Marriott”

Good location, but not excellent (would prefer to be closer to the old town), near the river. walk 15 min to the old town, 10 min from the train station. Looks like new. Large rooms. Try to get the rate with breakfast - very good variety, even had champagne. Very typical Marriott.

“A little out of the way, but easily walkable”

We arrived in Zurich in the evening and took a cab straight to the hotel. The check-in went very smoothly. We decided to go out for dinner and we asked the concierge for some suggestions. They were very good suggestions. Since this was our first time in Zurich we usually like to walk and get our bearings. It took about 30 mins to walk to the restaurant area. The hotel is like a two part building. We stayed in the second part, and like any Marriott, it was a standard king size room,very clean and quiet. I would definitely recommend this hotel, if you don't mind walking a bit to where all the action is.

Area recommendations

I highly recommend you go to an Italian restaurant called Santa Lucia. Excellent pasta !

“Great hotel with hospitable service.”

Zurich Marriott is an excellent facilities hotel with the usual excellent Marriott service. Everyone is anxious to serve and please you during the stay. All service employees go out of their way to be freindly and helpful. When one becomes aware of and familiar with the public transportation that passes in back of Marriott, the city is accessible in all weather on the light rail system. Otherwise a taxi is always out front waiting.

Area recommendations

Better hotel locations are south and west of Marriott in the center of the shopping, eating and banking district. That is the area between the rivers and and north lake front.

“Good hotel near Zurich Central Station”

The location of the hotel was about 350 meters far from the zurich central station. That was good. The room was clean. I found no inconvenience during my 10 hour stay. The road to the hotel was somewhat dark at night .

“Zurich Marriott - not really impressed”

AS mentioned before the hotel is not impressive at all. The location of the hotel, although near the train station, it lacks places of interests aroung it. YOu will have to walk a lot to find them. Hotel;s neighbors is a hospital and you can constantly hear the sirens. For a business traveler is a ok but for family or honeymooners I do not recommend it.

Area recommendations

Zurich is a great city (beautiful and safe ) to walk around, explore and enjoy. The area of Munster Brucke and Limmat quai shouldn't be missed.

“Marriott Zurich - great value for location - One of the best business hotel in Zurich”

Arrived late morning after an overnight flight from from Boston and the Portier gave me a room immidiately even before check-in so I could go to bed and sleep. Everything was clean and perfect. Location is also very good. Has parking in the basement and is in walking distance from Central Station and shopping as well as the famous Bahnhof Strasse..
