“Not a 5 star resort”

I expected more from this hotel. My mom had sprained her ankle prior to traveling, so she had to rely on crutches for the duration of the trip. Well, the hotle is situated on a hill. And one would assume such a "prestigious" hotel would provide transportation for handicap, elderly, or injured persons. But they didn't. We had to take a cab from the tram station, which is located just down the hill up to the hotel for 15 francs. Ridiculous. I also felt that a hotel of this standard should provide free airport transportation. The rooms were very comfortable and modern. Unfortunately, the hotel does not provide any stations in English, with the exception of CNN. I know many 4-5 star hotels that are able to switch the language on a central tv controller. This was not one of them. There was not a variety of choices (about 4-5 different dishes) at the restaurant, however the food was marvelous and the terrace was the right place for a romantic dinner or for relaxing after a busy day. The service in the restaurant was wonderful as well. THey did not have an English menu at the moment, however the waitress was able to translate the entire menu to the best of her ability. I would not stay here again just because it is not the ideal location to sightsee. And i definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone who has trouble walking, respiratory problems, or cannot walk for long distances. It is not worth the money spent per night, because I feel it is limited in service.

“A Wonderful Experience”

This was a great hotel, with beautiful designer-appointed rooms, great breakfast, gorgeous views and a short tram ride away from the city centre. Had a hard time finding availability in Zurich at the last moment, and came across this hotel, which was available. So happy that I did book a room there. Have really enjoyed my experience there. The only drawbacks: somewhat spotty 3G connection and an overpriced internet connection (it was CHF 25 per day when I stayed).

Area recommendations
Catch a tram (No 6) and you will be in the city centre in about 15 minutes. Trams run on time and very frequently. Once in the centre, lots of restaurants, bars and sights.

“Would love to go back soon”

The Hotel has all the amenities you need. the staff and friendly and very helpful. the restaurant food is good. the ambience of the hotel is lovely. the view is amazing...

“Nur ein Nachteil”

Der einzige Nachteil ist die Hellhörigkeit der Tür zum Gang. Von meinen Zimmernachbarn hörte ich nichts, nur wenn jemand über den Gang lief konnte ich es hören. Sonst kann ich das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.

“Tolle Lage”

Das Hotel hat eine Spitzenlage mit Blick auf den Zürich-See. Mein Einzelzimmer war klein, aber nett eingerichtet. Sehr guter Restaurant (mit entsprechenden Preisen)

“Leider ohne George Clooney... :-)”

Sehr schönes Hote, etwas verworrene Gänge, aber man findet sich recht schnell zurecht. Toll ist der Service der eigenen Nespressomaschine im Zimmer. Etwas mehr Milch hätte uns gefallen, aber es war klasse! Tolle Lage, aber leider kein Seeblick. Grandioses Frühstück, da hat es an nichts gefehlt! Alles in Allem - tolles Hotel!

“plaatje”

zurich is al een ontdekking en dit hotel maakt het feest kompleet! wel een eind van het centrum (tram stopt op 200 meter) maar dan heb je ook wat. een ongelooflijk mooi uitzicht vanaf een geweldig terras. deels klassiek en deels design hotel met originele architectonische vondsten. hier komen wij gauw weer eens terug.

zurich is een grote stad: 350.000 inwoners. als als winkelstad heeft het de allure van een wereldstad. voor shoppers een paradijs. met overal de leukste vlag ter wereld; de zwitserse.

“die Lage toppt alles deswegen gehe ich wieder hin”

Das Zimmer war klein und dunkel, zum Wald hin. Kühl bei der Hitze ! Sehr modern, perfekt eingerichtet, großes, sehr gutes Bett. Der Zimmerservice war lausig: die Getränke aus dem Kühlschrank wurden am nächsten Tag weder abgeräumt noch ersetzt, das benutzte Glas stand noch am Nachmittag da. Habe mich beschwert. Die Anbindung zu den Öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln sehr gut, die Terrasse mit dem Blick über den See und auf die Berge einzigartig. Frühstücksbuffet und Mittagssnack ebenfalls sehr gut.
