Air condition and Fan are not available in the hotel and we felt too hot inside the room, therefore we could not sleep properly. It was completely a waste of money and my decision to book that hotel was wrong.

An excellent hotel, let down by the lack of air conditioning. AVOID during summer months. The hotel is easily reached from the Airport by taking the No 12 Tram. It has easy access to the excellent integrated Zurich public transport system. It is ideally located a short walk from the Samsung Hall event venue. My room was a good size with a very comfortable bed and good bathroom/shower. However, even with the large fan provided by the hotel the room was very hot and airless due to the lack of air conditioing, Breakfast was plentiful, with good coffee. The hotel cable has a good choice of channels including several UK channels

This is a lovely hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is excellent. There is also a wonderful sauna and spa. It was really unfortunate that our visit coincided with a heatwave because there is no air conditioning!!! We were provided with a fan but as we did not have a window that could be opened significantly all that achieved was hot air being wafted around. We were particularly unlucky to be on the top (4th) floor so we had a fixed skylight that acted as a radiator 😩. Temperatures were as high as 35 °C outside and I can't imagine what the temperature was in the room. It was unbearable and made sleeping virtually impossible. The restaurant was also unbearably warm, but eating outside was often not an option as it was hard to get a table. Since there is also smoking permitted anywhere outside, it was also very unpleasant to eat, even inside near the windows. Our room was nice enough, but a huge area was take up by a non functioning open fire place, that whilst adding character, made the usable space quite limited. There was only one window that could be vented slightly and unfortunately it was on the balcony of the adjoining room, which meant we had people sitting directly outside talking and privacy was an issue. The bathroom was a good size but badly laid out. The shower was very small and could easily have been twice the size and water temperature and pressure variable so we were scalded or frozen alternately. More surface area is needed.

The hotel was very clean and modern and the check-in staff member was very helpful (sorry not sure of her name). The room was also very clean and was a good size but unfortunately had no air conditioning which made the room very hot and stuffy. Negative: No coffee/tea making in room (only in foyer but no tea or milk), Too far from city centre and only hotel restaurant (quite expensive) and one other restaurant 500 metres away available for dining options. Also we found it quite offensive to see naked people from the spa from our window

Good for backpackers
Room didn’t look like a business room. I felt more like being in a backpacker room. It was tiny and extremely warm. Mattress were hot and duvet exagerated heavy. Couldn’t open the minibar. Old furniture.

Affordable Swiss hotel
We booked this hotel as it was close to the location of a concert we were seeing which was walking distance. Unfortunately our room was directly next to the entrance of the restaurant so till late and from 5.30am we would hear the door opening and closing and people coming past. When the restaurant door opened it caused our door to shake quite loudly from the change in air pressure. This was the only real problem. The staff were very warm and nice and the service in the restaurant was very good. Nice touches in the room with chocolates and the duck. Good value for a Swiss hotel. Did not really get to explore the local area all though quite a distance from the center of town but very close to tram stops.

The room comes with a yoga mat!
I stayed two nights for business, so didn't have time to use all the spa facilities. But what I really liked is that there was a yoga mat in my room, with instructions on how to do sun salutations. I had a long yoga session on one of the evenings and it was just so good to be able to do that in the hotel after a long day at work. I'd definitely stay again in this hotel and other Sorell hotels (this is a Swiss chain).

READ BEFORE BOOKING - AVOID!!! HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!
The hotel gave our room to someone else in error and put us in a crappy room in the basement with twin beds without issuing a refund or credit claiming they were all booked out. The basement area smelled strongly of drugs and chemicals, possibly a meth lab (who knows), and offered us a dinner voucher for the inconvenience which we did not use. To add to the horror, we left the room and came back to the door and window wide open. We didn’t check out but it appeared as if someone broke into our room! Clearly this isn’t a safe place to stay! We requested a refund but they refused. Horrible experience. BAD SERVICE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The beds, sheets, towels, soap, shampoo/body wash, etc. are all low quality as well. The dishes during breakfast were mostly all dirty. Idk how this hotel is even operating. It was the worst possible experience ever and did not appear to be clean/hygienic. They also have a random kids play room in the basement, which literally looks like a dungeon from a horror movie.
