“Good but”

its a very nice hotel, clean and with high standard of service given its only 4 stars, however, its not very close to the center its 10 mint. by tramp

“Only hotel I'd go to in Zurich”

A very clean, comfortable and affordable hotel. Lovely rooms (though very small which was fine with me). Nice balcony. Excellent amenities in rooms. Fifty meters from directy tram line to city center. Recommend the buffet-style breakfast. I wish the rooms had computer hookup. The "business center" computer was very old and worn-out.Located in quiet area of Zurich up on a hill near the city's main universities.

“this hotel make me feel relaxed,”

only thing make me uncomfortable is the internet charge is too expensive for wireless for room to room.

Traveller's tip
If you have to use the internet often. You should bring your own wireless service. Otherwise you have to use the internet in the meeting room. It is not convenient enough.

“Just Ok hotel, but clean”

This is a three star hotel in my opinion. No air conditioning in the rooms. The rooms are clean and do have some artwork on the walls reflecting the theme about writers that they advertise. It has a bit of hospital feel and look in the hallways.

“Pretty Good hotel...”

Pretty good hotel, comfortable rooms, very clean, IKEA style beds, helpful staff for english speakers. This hotel is a 10 minute walk from the tourist district, and across the street from a tram stop. There are only a few restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

“Great hotel...boring city”

The hotel has a great location and a free breakfast that shouldn't be missed, BUT....Everything in the city shuts at 5 p.m....nightlife seems to be virtually non-existent in this city. Compared to other European cities this one is beautiful in the day time, but a disappointment at night. The main transportation are the trams which are nice, but not clear on the pricing. There is the # 10 which drops you off from the airport right in front of the hotel.

Traveller's tip
The complimentary breakfast is amazing! Eggs, bacon, fresh croissants, Camembert cheese, I've seen restaurants with a smaller selection. Best of all...for $4 they will deliver it fresh to your room at your requested time! Since everything closes so early we 'stocked up' of breads and cheeses for evening snacks...even the hotel restaurant closes early on the weekends!

“Kein 4 Sterne Haus!!”

Das Hotel hat seine besten Jahre wohl hinter sich. Es wirkt abgelebt und nicht sauber. Der Teppichflur zu den Zimmern ist grauselig. Überall dreckig, verfleckt und schmuddelig. Das Hotel bräuchte dringend eine Totalsanierung. Die Zimmer verfügen über keine Klimaanlage - was gerade bei heissen Tagen mehr als wünschenswert wäre - der kleine Ventilator im Zimmer bringt leider nichts. Im ersten Zimmer hatten wir Schimmel im Bad und die Armaturen bröckelten. Das erste Zimmer war sehr, sehr klein und zur Strasse bzw. Strassenbahn gelegen. Ein ruhiges Schlafen wäre undenkbar gewesen. Nach einer Beschwerde haben wir ein neues Zimmer bekommen. Die Reception war sehr freundlich. Das zweite Zimmer war besser, weil ruhiger, mit Balkon und grösserem und sauberen Bad. Aber auch dieses Zimmer war keine 4 Sterne wert! Die Duschkabine war so eng, dass man sich kaum darin drehen konnte! Alles wirkte alt und schmuddelig. Auch der Balkon war total schmutzig und mit Plastikstühlen versehen in die man sich nicht freiwillig hineinsetzen mochte. Geschlafen haben wir kaum, da auch in diesem Zimmer eine Bruthitze herrschte. Fazit: Wir hätten keine zweite Nacht in diesem Hotel verbracht. Das Hotel ist kein 4 Sterne Haus und den Preis nicht wert - Pantoffeln, Bademantel, Badeutensilien, TV, Minibar, Haarfön, freundliches Personal hin oder her.

Traveller's tip
Für diejenigen die nicht in einer Jugendherberge übernachten möchten und keinerlei Ansprüche an ein modernes 4 Sterne Haus hegen, ist das Haus sicherlich eine Alternative. Die Lage ist gut. Die Verkehrsanbindungen sind ideal, mit dem Auto als auch mit der Strassenbahn z.B. vom Flughafen aus. Mit dem Tram (Station direkt vor der Haustüre) ist man in wenigen Minuten in der Innenstadt bzw. am See. Das Personal ist hilfsbereit und freundlich.
