“Excellent Good Value Hotel”

This is a budget hotel located close to Zurich Airport. There is a free shuttle bus to and from the airport which you can pick up just outside the arrivals area. The hotrel staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is located in the town of Kloten and is a 3 minute walk from the local train station where there are 2 trains an hour into Zurich main station. You can buy a ticket at the reception desk which will give you 24 hrs unlimited travel for about 12CHF. There is a restaurant at the hotel but also a few others just a few minutes walk away in the town itself. There is an additional charge for breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable - fairly basic but then I guess that many people including me don't intend to spend too much time in the room. Would definitely recommend this hotel when visiting Zurich - much better value than hotels in Zurich town centre and the train is very convenient.

“Very Good Indeed”

I guess this is how the Swiss do budget accommodation: not exactly cheap but to a standard well above anywhere else. Quite a large room, simply but stylishly decorated and spotlessly clean. Friendly and helpful English-speaking staff. Less than 5 minutes walk to Kloten station and then 15 minutes to Zurich. Courtesy bus to and from the airport. If I had one reservation, it was that the TV system allowed users to preview the pay-to-view channels, so it may not be a place to bring children old enough to have their own room. But for Zurich this place is a bargain.

“A Welcome break”

Nice hotel, friendly staff, comtable rooms. Airport bus was not 24 hours but did run till 2330 and was a god send as was travelling every day, if you're planning to travel round Switzerland then a swiss pass is extremely good value, not so good for late night emergencies everything closed pretty early but apart from that would visit again

“GOOD PLACE TO STAY”

The minibus was waiting outside the airport terminal and took us straight there. Friendly staff, typical swiss hotel plain and functional. Plenty of choice to eat at plenty of places nearby and in the hotel. No complaints at all.

“Great airport hotel”

A great experience, friendly check in and clean, comfortable and spacious room. Very close to the airport with a free shuttle bus. Second time I've stayed there and will definitely go back when transiting through Zurich.

“As advertised”

As advertised. Located in a small town Kloten near the airport. Meets all basic requirements. Nothing extraordinary. The hotel staff could be a bit more courteous particularly the breakfast staff. The airport shuttle was very useful. The first thing I noticed is a clear sign at the reception warning of the risk of using their wakeup call service in the telephone due to some possible unreliability, advising that you should set the one on the TV as well as a backup! #@?. Generally the hotel was OK for the price.

“Good hotel in its class”

Comfortable room in a good location with quick links to the city centre and the airport. The staff were friendly and helpful. Really liked the food in the restaurant and was pleased with the service.

“Welcome Inn, Kloten, Zurich”

An excellent hotel with comfortable rooms although I personally found the bed a tad hard. Breakfast was more than adequate with continental or fried choices and although I din not have an evening meal there, I have ate there in previous years and I always found it good quality.

“nice hotel but....”

the hotel is nice but i think there are things that they need to improve further...just being honest but not judgemental. just giving my opinion which i believe will make them one of the best hotel to stay in kloten. location wise no problem but communication with the staff, sometimes they dont give you the right answer...especially when asking for something. i hope they will be more friendly and considerate over the phone not making you feel to hurry up with youre conversation to them...i know their busy with others but youre not gonna phone them if it is not important. i hope there will be free coffee or tea in each room as a complement to the travellers staying in the hotel. although there is free coffee in the reception area but it has a schedule which does not suit your time. if youre booking a trip and if it is booked in the reception and suddenly you want to change it or cancel it, i hope they will not loose their temper quickly. the room is cold eventhough the heater is on max, because there are some hole in the room that cold air goes into it. lastly, i hope they will ask you the moment you leave your key in the reception if there is any problem in your room which i think will let you feel that they do really care about your stay in the hotel. but cleanliness i dont have any comments. well done.

“No airconditioning!”

Very convenient for the airport, reception staff helpful and pleasant, BUT (never listen to anything before the 'but') the hotel doesn't have airconditioning. I was there in the last week ín August and the daytime temperature was 33 deg C, and the night wasn't much less. The choices were to switch on the air in the room (blown warm air, not condtioned for temperature or humidity) or have the window open all night: both solutions equally noisy and impracticable. At other times of the year the hotel is probably a good choice for in-transit guests needing to be near the airport.
