“Minimalist hotel but centrally located - for a younger crowd”

This hotel does not have much to offer in terms of service - it is not even staffed in the evenings. The "lobby" consisted of a corner desk and *one* chair for a guest. The rooms were sparsley furnished. It did have free breakfast, and free WiFi, which were a plus. The hotel's location is probably its best and worst aspects. It is centrally located to the pedestrian zone on the right side of the Limmat, within walking distance of basically everything in the center of Zurich. However, it is located in the same building as two nightclubs. I stayed on a Monday night, and it was quiet. But, I am told that it can be extremely noisy on a week-end night. Even the clerk who checked me in recommended that if I were to come back, I should get a room on the 5th floor, where it is quieter. While the service was minimalist, the three staff members I interacted with were pleasant and accommodating. I would say the hotel might appeal to a younger crowd.

“Great quiet hideaway to stay at”

This hotel is a great little hideaway to be able to stay at and relax. We enjoyed everything about it, and we felt right at home...from the comfort of the room to the friendly and helpful service. The hotel is also situated in a quaint little area, surrounded by many shops and restuarants in walking distance. Has a wonderful atmosphere to take a walk through at night. And for those concerned, the hotel has no a/c in the rooms...so it gives you a chance to enjoy the night air.

“NEVER AGAIN”

HOTEL IS GUY EXCLUSIVE HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!! I DON`T MIND STAYING IN GUY HOTEL HOWEVER I SHOULD BE INFOIRMED IN ADVANCE I THINK....HUGE NOICE IN THE EVENING THERE IS NIGHT CLUB NEXT DOOR...COULD`T SLEEP

“Noisy and smoky smell”

The noise level at night in this hotel is extreme. They do give you earplugs and that helps. Even the non-smoking rooms smell of smoke. Clean rooms and fine if you are deaf and have no sense of smell. The guys at the desk were very nice and always helpful.

“false advertisement”

the pictures shown in the web site does not reflect reality, there is so much noise, especially from the club downstairs, the non-smoking room requested didnt matter, the whole building is impregnated with cigarretes smell, so bad had to open the windows. The bed looks so awful had to sleep clothed!!! afraid of catching bed bugs or who knows what! Perfect location great for young people on a budget, not for jet lagged travelers... Plse. nobody should stay in this "hotel" !!

“Music from Club is definitely loud, nice place”

This is a great location. The music from the night club below is definitely audible even on weeknights on the top floor. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing evening, this is probably not the place.

“Noisy like hell”

It was as noisy as other reviwers have experienced. Noise came from multiple sources, from the disco right below the hotel, from the guests of the outdoor tables beneath your window, from the morning replenish trucks starting from 4am till 9-10am. The reception closed clearlier than they communicated with the key to the maintain entrance not working reliably and you have no one to call to.

You need Ambien and Bose Noise reduction Headphones to sleep.

“Boom, boom, boom”

The hotel is very centrally located. In the middle of the old Zurich pedestrian zone. Staff very friendly and helpful, rooms are nice. If only there wasn't the club downstairs, this would be a great place to stay. If you come to Zurich and plan to party until 6am, you're in good shape. Don't expect to get any sleep a minute before 6am on a Saturday night.
