“Reasonable Price (for Zurich!)”

Switzerland is so expensive! Exchange rates mean so many things cost the earth. The hotel is convenient for everything because it is so close to Oerlikon station- less than 10 minutes to the centre of town; less than 10 minutes to the airport. The hotel was very comfortable, bed especially so. The room was of a very good size. The staff were very helpful. My only negative point was that the corridors felt a little shabby; unlike the room. I would strongly recommend this hotel for a short stay.

“Needs a couple of things”

I was not impressed with the cost of wifi on a daily basis being 28 CFR a day. Aside from that it was wonderful, the restaurant is also wonderful but costly.

“Excellent Hotel”

The hotel is located in Orlekon across from a large Co op mall an near the town center. It fits the Marriott Courtyard mold and is clean and efficiently operated. The lack of room service is the only drawback.

“A smart, economical choice for visiting Zurich!”

Stayed here on the first part of our September honeymoon trip to Europe. If we returned to Zurich, we would stay here again. Pros: Price was MUCH better than hotels right in the city center and quite honestly, a much smarter choice. The train/subway is just a short 2-minute walk from the hotel (easy to find) and it's a super short ride to downtown Zurich. The breakfast that was included was fantastic and delicious! Try the pretzel croissants. The waitstaff were friendly and professional. If you are used to a Marriott Courtyard in the States, then this will be pretty much the same. Nice sized bathroom, good hair dryer, large room, good-sized closet, and an actual queen bed (not two twins pushed together). Also, there is a huge COOP grocery store (with a pharmacy and other smaller shops) in a shopping mall right next door. We saved a ton of money on lunch by buying sandwich and picnic food here. Cons: Not right smack in the middle of downtown Zurich (although the subway is easy and quick). If I were elderly I wouldn't stay here because of the extra walking. The area around the train station appears safe (Switzerland is overall very safe) but still is not well lit at night. Also, while it's nice that the hotel staff speaks English, even if you speak German they will absolutely not respond to you in German, which was really frustrating. They likely have the best intentions (to make it convenient for others) but it comes across as pompous.

“Zurich convenience”

This hotel was fairly close to the train stop, and on a bus line. It is near a large grocery store for those trying to watch their finances. We purchased the American breakfast. It was very expensive for a breakfast, but good. The rooms are attractive and clean.

“Costly city”

Hotel is true to the Courtyard brand. Clean, modern, efficient. Good location for university. Terrible location for airport if you are carrying any luggage, taxis are very costly like everything else in this city.

“A Good Base for Day Trips”

On the tail end of a European trip we took a two-day layover to revisit Zurich and Lucerne. We picked this hotel because of its price, prior reviews, and proximity to rail service and the Zurich airport. We were pleased with our pick. The hotel is located an easy walk (about 1/4 mile, flat , no traffic, through a nice neighborhood) from the Oelikon rail station. This is the first station from Zurich airport toward downtown Zurich. Trains to Zurich or the airport were about every five minutes. It was about a ten minute train ride to Zurich's main station. The hotel looked fairly new. Both the public areas and our room were clean and well-maintained. Nothing too elaborate, but no negative surprises either. We did not use many of the hotel's facilities. The American breakfast was included with our room price and was very good. It included scrambled eggs, bacon,sausage, etc. as well as fruits, pastries, cereals, etc. The restaraunt was clean, modern, and comfortable. Several conventions/conferences were meeting at the hotel (Lots of people with name tags.) There are limited eating choices in the area. There is an Italian cafeteria next door which had a lot of people at lunch, but not much dinner traffic. We ate there once and liked it.. Most of the restaraunts/fast food places we discovered were just on the other side of the railroad. There is a very nice grocery store across the street from the hotel. Next to the hotel are a pharmacy and Starbucks. We would stay here again

“Overnight in Zurich prior to flying Home”

Great breakfast Buffet included with room price, the best ever, beautiful dining room and hotel, immaculate, clean and quiet rooms with good beds, reasonably close to airport, 24 franks for shuttle to airport from hotel, 34 franks for Cab from rail station to hotel. We were not there long enough to look around though, right acros the street from a Coop that had groceries, and pizza and pasta restaurant that was good and cheap.

“Switzerland is perfect but expensive”

The hotel is very good and cheap by Swiss standards. I transtop from the airport and two to downtown. Quiet with perfect service. I would recommend it to everyone.
