This is a really beautiful older hotel. Me and my husband stayed here for 5 days in November. We stayed in a junior suite and the room was pleasantly spacious and functional. There was a flat screen TV, in room wifi (advertised as high speed but it was mostly slow), a small refrigerator, iron & ironing board & basic toiletries. The room had a large balcony with jacuzzi (that we didn't use), sun beds and table & chairs. It was very clean and the service was excellent. We had 2 maintenance issues which were dealt with immediately & professsionally.
All the rooms in this hotel are ocean facing with a view. This means that there are quite a few stairs but totally worth the effort. I'm not fit at all but managed to climb to the top without stopping although huffing a little.
The pool area was awesome with plenty of sun beds, chairs & hammocks. There is also a spa and my husband had a massage which he said was excellent. The restaurant is on the beach and we ate there the 1st night as we were too tired to go elsewhere. The food was OK but overpriced. There are many excellent restaurants one block away from the hotel at street level. Town, the market and more shops and restaurants are in easy walking distance along the waterfront from the hotel.
Overall an outstanding experience and I will definitely stay here again!

Rooms a very nice but could use new pillows. Restaurant food is great and the service is amazing. I had such an amazing time and I Would highly recommend this place.

All that was great : the location (playa ropa), the full sunset view, the good breakfast, the kindness of staff, all the stairs (from the beach to the complex) to keep a little fitness! Playa ropa is a quite calm sea that is great for swimming. The sand is clean. Not bothered by vendors. We really enjoyed our stay!

We were greeted at airport(the staff emailed me ahead of time to inquire if i need any transportation). The entire staff greeted us like guest in their home on arrival. Our hostes offered us a seat in the lobby on arrival for check-in, offered us a fresh cool facial cloth and a complimentary drink while we went over a few house rules. Our hostes then escorted us to our room (each room has a unique name and number) where our bags were awaiting us. Discovered a beautiful flower arraignment on our bedding with flower pedals used to spell out happy birthday to my wife. Our oversized terrace opened to a full frontal view of the bay. If the view alone wasn't enough, the crashing sounds of the waves was music to our ears(resort built into a cliff side so lots of stairs). Hors d'oeuvres and a bucket of coronas also were waiting for us on the terrace(was thirsty). No Tv in rooms (which was ok with us) but wifi is complimentary so iPads were used for our mobile services(dish). On site restaurant provided gourmet food and pricing was consistent with quality of food/venue(over looking the bay). Our waitress Isabela had excellent recommendations for breakfast/dinner. Lounging poolside, fredy our server would bring us water without asking. On request a bucket of drinks/burgers. Thank you to entire staff to include the security guard, room service and especially Ms. Teresa the property manager who made sure we were well taken care of. Our new favorite place!
Once you get to the hotel, it is easy to walk to Zihuatanejo in 15 minutes max, but do take a taxi to get there to begin with. Otherwise you will end up with a long confusing walk from the local buses.
I arrived at close to 7pm and was in awe of the entire view of this beautiful bay. I walked down the 160 easy steps for a late night dinner at 1 of the 2 excellent restaurants right there, secluded from town and charming.
The whole place felt new and clean where as our stay a week previously on Madera beach was more pricey with old run down facilities. If I were to want to spend time in Zihua, this is where I'd want to be. Not right on beach, but there is no question in my mind, that the value of the view and serenity are worth more. There are a few other places around with very nice residents.

It won't blow your mind, but the location is just right and it has everything you might need--kitchenette, balcony, a/c, pool... I'd stay again just to say hello to the owner/manager who was just a real nice man.
