Perfect getaway for a babymoon
Was an amazing holiday. Staff and service was perfect! Our butler Sherif was so lovely and helpful! Perfect place to rest and re- energise. Food and attention to detail wasn’t great!

5 Stars for the Six Senses
My recent stay at Six Senses Zighy Bay was easily one of the greatest experiences of my life. The only thing more astounding than the breathtaking setting of this 5 Star result, with the powder soft sand and its pristine beach set against the backdrop of the majestic mountains, was the World Class Service by the entire staff. Kudos to General Manager McGrath and his team. From the moment that we were warmly greeted upon arrival by our G.E.M. (butler) and given a tour of the grounds on the way to our luxurious villa. From the incredible service of the restaurant staff to the true pampering that we received in the spa, every moment of our stay was top notch. I highly recommend the Six Senses at Zighy Bay for anyone conducting a trip to the beautiful county of Oman.

Beautiful hotel and surroundings, excellent food choice and quality, activities and staff. Very cosy and clean resort and plenty of activities for the children. Amazing beach and sea very safe for swimming and lots of fish to see from the shores. Would recommend a snorkeling trip

The location is great and the villas with the private pool provide privacy in a beautiful setting. beautiful sand beach, although we couldn’t go into the water as it was full of tar. we realize this is not the hotel’s fault but they could have worn us as I was shocked to find my feet full of black tar stains after a beach walk. New beach restaurant in a scenic setting but unfortunately the food quality was not what one would expect in a 5 star resort. On the positive, they have good quality special dinner events such as the beach bbq. Villas are unfortunately dated and need investment to reflect 5* rating. Air conditioning dated and very noisy making it difficult to sleep. Promoted Butler service wasn’t noticeable and lacked butler engagement. Average restaurant menu quality, very disappointed for the quality you would expect at a 5* Hotel. We have travelled a lot and have stayed in various 5* hotels and although the setting and surroundings are really unique and amazing, it is just not great value for money unless they invest in villas and food menu/quality upgrade.

As you are our valued customer, I appreciate your feedback regarding dated air conditioning & AC noise, butler engagement, food menus and tar on the beach. We constantly are evolving the resort and upgrading facilities to be able to meet expectations always. Installation of new AC’s with minimal fan noise is process. We are going to install new TV’s with blue tooth and you can connect the iPhone with sound system through Bluetooth this year. I am very sorry to note that the GEM (guest experience maker) couldn’t serve you at his best. I have shared your feedback and rest assured corrective measures will be taken if any standard was not met. We are in process reviewing our menus to enhance quality and better value for money. Your comments about the tar/oil are very reasonable. Whilst it is not a regular occurrence at the resort it does sometimes happens that waves of oil pellets as well as rubbish make their way onto our pristine shore. Our hosts are relentlessly sweeping and collecting litter and tar daily. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Nevertheless, as we pride ourselves on delivering a memorable experience. I am thrilled to read that you enjoyed your overall stay with us I hope that the above issues will not deter you from visiting us again we hope you choose to stay with us again whenever your travel needs bring you back. Heaven on earth
We visited in August when the resort was at its very hottest. Some days it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The gaps between the villas are like dusty country lanes. The rooms are rustic but luxourious at the same time. The service is always just right, attentive without being over bearing. The food particularly the arabic restaurant is exceptional - the only slight failing was the Indian menu

Very very nice place. We had amazingg time go take the activiies such as fishing snorkling and kayaking the restraunts are nice and the hospitality is very good the food is nice too but bit on the expensive time but worth it for a weekend it is perfect.

Please don't wake me up from this dream!
I thought I had seen it all until I say Zighy Bay! I kept thinking I will wake up and know it was a dream! This place looks like a village all on sand. It feels like you're in medieval times. No cars, no noise, no polution! Villas made by stone and beautifully decorated with its private yard and pool, outdoor shower..... It's a very different experience than anything else you have seen.

Amazing Resort
Zighy Bay absolutely delivers to Six Senses' high standards, from its impeccable accommodations to the personalized service by the staff. Despite being fully booked, we felt the attention to detail delivered by the team was superb and every other wish was executed efficiently and with a warm smile, be it a coffee refill at breakfast, an order of eggs, another drink at the bar, etc. Overall the entire team did an amazing job ensuring everything was well taken care of, from housekeeping and room service to the wait staff at the beach bar or the two main restaurants, or at their fine dining restaurant Senses on the Edge. The villas are rustic but lack no comfort, with both indoor and outdoor showers, private pool, deck with enough chairs to have friends from another villa come over, plenty of electric outlets, of course a double sink, etc. We all found the beds amazingly comfortable with some of the best sheets we've ever slept in. The quality of the food is outstanding, though I will say that, probably to the fairly isolated location, the variety was perhaps not as abundant as in some of the other Six Senses resorts that we stayed at, but the exceptional quality of everything we were served more than made up for that. There is also a huge variety of activities both for adults and kids. Zighy Bay is definitely a place I'd like to return to and that I will recommend to my friends.

This is a wonderful place to unwind nestled in a secluded bay in the beautiful Musandam. The food was excellent particularly in the cliff top Sense in the Edge restaurant. The pool room was huge and private. The service was very good. Attention to detail makes this place very special. Ideal for couples or families.

Quiet escape in the mountains
We spent 3 nights to unwind from a busy Dubai holiday and it was perfect. A very rustic and eco friendly type resort which adds to the experience. Great views of the mountains and sea, quiet and calm resort with an exclusive feeling. perfect for relaxation. Very friendly, quick and personal service throughout our stay. The villa we had was on the beach front and was literally on the beach just a few steps away. The private pool in the villa was great to cool off in throughout the day/night. Would definitely go back again !!

Weekend Stay
We rented a chalet back from the beach the weekend of 17/18 July 2014. The chalet comes with its own pool and is very private which is great. The interior of the chalet is large and functional. Unfortunately there had been an oil spill in that area and oil had washed up onto the beach. We were not warned of this when we booked in and consequently got oil over our shoes and feet when we walked on the beach. There were no signs on the beach either which was a surprise. We also found that in the chalet although it was nicely stocked with soft and alcoholic drinks that there was a charge for soft drinks. Given the cost of renting each night we felt that soft drinks should have been free. We also ordered our meal in the chalet one night. The only table area is outside and in the hight of summer with evening temperatures around 38c it was unbearable particularly as there was no fan to cool you down if you sat at the table. The fittings are now getting worn and in need of replacement. Hotel staff were good and the food excellent. It is expensive and up there with Aman Resorts and Al Maha but without the quality. The setting is great and it is a wonderful get away but there needs to be a refurbishment and areview of the value offered.

Disappointing
Good location, facilities and very nice villa, our visit was spoilt by two things:- 1) Delay at the boarder crossing due to lost or miss placed paperwork, this was sorted by the hotel and an extension to the normal room check out was given. Matter closed. 2) The main issue was that our car was valet parked on arrival but when we left and the car was returned it had been damaged by Goats. We are still waiting for the Hotel to advise on getting the car repaired and they have as yet to acknowledge emails and repairer estimate provided. The above let down a very nice stay and that is why the rating has been given as Disappointing. Had the car not been damaged and if the Hotel had responded to emails about this subject would have given a better rating.

Unique property very expensive
For such an expensive property expectations are high and they were not delivered, what makes a five star excellent to good is the details that are really missing from the property. No value for money. Very dark, no music dall atmosphere , the only think saving the propery is the location and the uniqueness The Spa considered to be the best not clean and very basic I seen much better. The paragliding was the whole trip a unique experience and the only think properly priced. The Dow cruise a catastrofy high robbery the food in boxes like a school food the snorkeling a joke dead corals and you search for half an hour to see a fish. Euro 320 p.p Food except on the sence on the edge very average.

My wife and I stayed at Zighy Bay based on a recommendation by our travel agent and the hotel was absolutely fantastic! Each villa is completely separate from other villas and comes with its own swimming pool, inside & outside showers, large bedroom & living room, flat screen tv, etc. We have stayed at other six senses resorts for our honeymoon at the Maldives and this one was right up there in its quality. It's located in an isolated Bay, the views are amazing, the ocean water is clear and warm year round and the staff is extremely attentive and pleasant. Highly recommended
