The hotel was funky and a little odd but our room was nice and comfortable and the staff was lovely. The hotel restaurant experience was mixed. The breakfast buffet was great with lots of options but the one dinner we went to was strange and the food was very average. All in all we had a great time and really loved the location.

Great hotel exceptional service!
Wonderful hotel with exceptionally friendly/helpful hotel staff from the gorgeous looking young reception lady to the waiters at the tavern restaurant. Food at the tavern restaurant was also great. The best hotel throughout my 6-day stay in Austria. Kudos!!!

Top quality hotel close to lifts and slopes
The hotel is in a really good central location easily accessible to all facilities The food is top class. The spa area is good although it lacks an accessible outdoor pool in winter. The library is a great place to chill and read

Not a four star hotel.
The food quality is good, but the older rooms are not of a four star standard and are inferior to other rooms which are charged at the same or lower nightly rate. The reception staff are very officious and when issues are raised they are very unapologetic and rude. We would not recommend this hotel. There are many other better hotels in Saalbach without feeling overcharged.

NOT TO BE MISSED! A REMARKABLE HOTEL IN EVERY WAY!
Where to begin? This is a jewel of a hotel, located in a spectacular mountain setting, with multiple lifts and godolas just a stroll away from the door. From the moment we drove up, we were THRILLED! The facade is magnificent, with a large terrace bedecked with flowers. Greeting at reception was personalized and friendly. Our room was one of the very recently done, and it had every possible amenity, from iPOD dock to huge closets and a fabulous shower. This hotel has so much going for it. Its private gardens are beautifully tended. There is a lovely library, with books in several languages and a computer for guest use, gratis. There is a very large indoor pool in a grotto-like setting, as well as a heated outdoor pool. There is a Finnish sauna, another sauna, and a saline-drip room, replete with birch twigs and natural saltwater drip, said to be good for bronchitis and breathing; my husband said it did wonders for him! Gastronomy is taken seriously at Saalbacher Hof, which has a more formal dining room, where half board guests are served breakfast and dinner, as well as a beautiful, traditional alpine Wirtshaus featuring regional specialties like crispy Wiener schnitzel, myriad soups and salads, and local pork, veal, and beef dishes. Dinner for half board guests is quite an affair---multiple courses, all thoughtfully and artistically prepared and served. We hated to leave this delightful and perfectly run hotel. Truly a gem!

Try to avoid in low season
The hotel is in the very centre of the town but that was about its only advantage. The decoration of the rooms was done a couple of decades ago. While probably quite well functioning in high season, we were reminded in every moment that our visit took place in the time of staff holiday and maintenance. The sauna works Mon-Thu only. Well, we arrived on Fri :-) The first night at 9pm we had great difficulties ordering something to eat. The best came in the end - they prepared us a full bill despite the fact that we had prepaid our stay via Expedia. Caveat emptor!

Fijne plek met midden in het dorp, ontspannen sfeer. Eten is prima. Parkeren kan lastig zijn in het hoogseizoen.

Increíble vista a las montañas.
El Hotel es bueno pero la limpieza del baño no es lo máximo. Comida aceptable pero algo alto en precio. El estacionamiento esta algo retirado y si esta lloviendo es complejo regresar sin paraguas, creo que el hotel debería de dar mejor explicación sobre este punto. En general OK.

Tolles Hotel im Herzen von Saalbach
Sehr schönes Hotel mit freundlichen Personal. Dachgarten mit Wellnessbereich sind fantastisch. Frühstück ist Top. Zimmer sind sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet.

Bra hotell, i toppskick. Fint poolområde och uteplats. Maten får bara ett ok, burgaren misstänkt från frysdisken. Frukost var bra men bemötandet var mindre roligt. Vi bokade 5 nätter och 5 frukost i mars (åkte i juli) men frukostpersonalen såg lika förvånade och besvärade ut varje morgon. Plats fixades under lite pustande och grymtande.

Since of the cicumstances that our restaurant as well as the hotel was fully booked during your stay we couldn't offer fixed tables to all of our guests. Super hotel i smukke omgivelser.
Opholdet på Hotel Saalbacher Hof var fantastisk. Centralt beliggende med nem adgang til svævebaner op til et fantastisk vandreområde. Meget børnevenligt med legepladser på alle bjergtoppe. Er man til mountainbike er det et eldorado. Dejlig stor have med pool liggestole. Udsigt til de høje bjerge fra have og værelset med stor altan. Også spændende indendørs pool. Super betjening. Meget venligt og hjælpsomt personale. Alt var rent og pænt. Kan varmt anbefales.

Perfekt semester!
För oss var detta hotell perfekt! Mitt i denna underbara lilla by har du närhet till allt du behöver! Hotellet har mycket god service och med ett Jokercard åker man gratis i linbanorna hur mycket man vill! När man gått en alptur kan man slappna av i hotellets pooler och bara njuta av allt vackert dom omgivningarna ger. Rekommenderas å det varmaste!

Flott hotell med bra beliggenhet
Flott hotell med innendørs basseng, boblebad og saunaer som kan brukes gratis. Det skulle også være et avslapningsområde der men i samme rom og det ble for mye støy for min del til å klare lese bok. God frokost. Plassert i sentrum så man lett kommer deg til både bakke, uteliv og butikk etc. Enkeltrommet mitt var luftig og fint - dog en veldig kjedelig utsikt ut til nabobygg. Vil trygt anbefale hotellet til andre. Jeg bodde på to ulike hoteller denne uken, og likte dette bedre - men så skal dette også være en stjerner bedre.

Flott hotell med aller beste beliggenhet
Flott og profesjonellt hotel med beste mulige beliggenhet midt på gågaten I Saalbach. Her har du det meste du trenger for et vellykket opphold. Spesielt spa-avdelingenvil jeg fremheve som meget fin og behagelig. Et viktig moment når man er uheldig med været. Vi bodde I et superiorrom I det gamle bygget (etsj 6 og 7). Rommet var stort og praktisk. Nydelig utsikt over fjellet. Det var veldig stille og behagelig. Det vi opplevde som litt negativt var at sengene var alt for harde, og puter og dyner kunne ha vært av bedre kvalitet. videre så var det svært lang kø (lørdagen) på ukens viktigste utsjekkingsdag. Det virket som om man hadde for lite personal til dette og at rutienen ikke fungerte helt på skinner. Noen kunder brukte veldig lang tid. Dette kunne man kanskje hatt en bedre og litt mer proaktiv løsning for.
