"First class bed and breakfast"
I spent a week at the Flestariam bed and breakfast during the Venice Carnival. I found it to be very modern, clean, and comfortable.
The room I stayed in was bright, spacious, well equipped with coffee making facilities, fridge (which was kept stocked with free bottles of water by the owner), plenty of clothes storage, a comfortable double bed, remote control air conditioning, a large ceiling fan, television (although all of the channels were Italian).
It had an excellent en suite bathroom which was large, clean, very modern, and well equipped, including a walk in shower cubicle which has a multi jet shower unit.
The only minor drawback is the distance from the centre of Venice. It is a twenty to thirty minute bus trip depending on traffic. However, the bus stop is a mere two minutes stroll from the Festariam, with buses fairly regularly four times an hour. One word to the wise; don't catch the bus back at rush hour, between four pm and six pm, as they get packed at that time.
For me, the bed and breakfast being a distance from Venice was more than compensated for by the fact that it is in a very quiet and peaceful area, and I was not disturbed once during my weeks stay.
The owner is a most courteous, friendly, and helpful person. Happy to do all he can to ensure your stay is comfortable. he even provides a courtesy service to and from the airport in his own car.
I had a lovely stay, and will certainly book there again next year without hesitation.
