“Slow, slow, slow room service delivering inedible food”

The hotel is perfectly located for business and leisure, our suite was very elegant and spacious though small TV sets appeared to be a leftover from the ancient times. The corridors on our floor were not that nice, though, with lots of holes in the carpet - not something you would expect in a five star hotel. Alas, upon our arrival, we have ordered a quick meal before we were to go out. It took an hour to deliver three plates of inedible food. This was later admitted by F&B Manager. How did they manage to make an inedible pizza, inedible gnocchi ai quatri formaggi and inedible spaghetti bolognese remains a mystery, but somewhere between microwave, fridge, deep freezer and not that well trained chef things must have gone very very wrong, so we were ultimately forced to leave the hotel hungry as they were not able to produce another meal quickly. Other than this, the overall experience was very pleasant, staff is kind and efficient, but this is not a five star hotel hence if you want decent, reliable service go somewhere else.

“Great location, quiet, amazing spa services.”

It was a great choice to stay in Sheraton Zagreb. Less than 5 minutes walking distance to the city center, you will go across a very nice park where you would love to go every day. Quiet relaxing stay, very helpful staff with decent smile. The SPA center is just amazing with a huge variety of massage and beauty treatment.

“First time to Zagreb”

Good location within 10 minute walk or short tram ride to central square. While listed as a 5 star hotel, it doesn't measure up to 5 star standing - rooms are a bit dated. I think this hotel caters mainly to business people - when we arrived on Saturday Sept 3rd, the hotel was nearly deserted.

Check out central square and shops/cafes around central square. Great people watching location.

“Sheraton Zagreb”

We stayed at this hotel two nights when we first arrived in Croatia. We got a very good price for this hotel on expedia. The best two points about this hotel is its location. It is close enough to everything but far enough away to not be crowded and noisy but certainly within walking distance to all the major attractions. The second point about this hotel was that the front desk people spoke excellent english and helped us with a zillion questions we had about how to get to places, to eating etc etc.... with all honest answers and not just recommending their hotel! The staff were great! The swimming pool was being serviced when we were there which was too bad because we would have really enjoyed it after long hot days touring around. The meal at the restaurant were very expensive and we didn't sample any of them for that reason. There is no wireless in the rooms but wireless was offered in the lobby area. There was internet in the rooms, just not wireless.

“Excellent”

I stayed here for four nights and really enjoyed it. This hotel looks magnificent - the lobby, the hallways, the room, everything. The room was very comfortable - nice bed, blackout curtains, and quiet A/C. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient - my room was kept in immaculate condition, room service brought me a tasty burger, and the front desk called in a taxi at 5am for my return to the airport. The location is good - there's a Chinese restaurant across the street, and bakeries and grocery stores and more restaurants within a couple minutes' walk, while the livelier areas of the city are about a 15-minute walk. Everything was great. I highly recommend this hotel.

Area recommendations

There's a pub called "Tolkien's House" at the curve in the road on Opatovina. Try a "Gandalf the Grey" - it's quite good.

“Zagreb Sheraton”

The hotel was wonderful. Decor and atmosphere was all that you would expect of a Sheraton. The breakfast buffet, although very pricey, was excellent. Except for a loose toilet seat, we had no complaints. We will stay there again the next time we visit Zagreb.
