“Helpful staff”

I stayed here for one night and arrived at around 7pm. I was travelling alone and assumed there'd be restaurants or cafes nearby where I could buy some dinner. There wasn't really anywhere close... or rather nowhere I'd have been keen to walk to at night. The lady on reception was so helpful as she ordered Italian food for me and another couple who were staying and this was delivered to us. The rooms and clean and modern and have free wi-fi. Breakfast was pretty good too. It takes around 20mins to walk to the train station from the hotel and I was happy to do this the following morning, leave my bag in a locker at the station and explore the city before my train departed.

“doesn't look good from the outside but room are really ok”

they have free but not secure parking onsite, room was clean and decent. Good wifi signal and breakfast, easy walk to downtown (20 minutes)

“great for a traveller”

hotel was excellent, and the location was fine but i was travelling on my own and the walk in the night was in a quiet residential area. All safe, but maybe best to be accompanied or take a short taxi from the train station.

“Would Use Again”

Hotel Lisinski is in an excelent location in quiet side street, but only 25 mins walk from city centre, or 5 minutes from bus stop to centre. A walking route from the station would be useful to inlcude. Room well appointed, and spotlessly clean. A good choice of hot or cold breakfasts is included, and they even served mine a little early as I had a train to catch. The staff we very friendly and hepful and spoke some English. Would recomend to anyone visting Zagreb who want's a quiet loaction away from the bustle of the centre.

Area recommendations
Zagreb is a lively and interesting place to visit, and I would have stayed longer if possible. It had plenty of sights in the city centre and old town. There also appeared to be a vibrant night-life. A good choice a restaurants with many offerend excelt value for money, and local cuisine. Well worth a visit, and I woulf like to return.
Getting there
Travelling by train (or indeed bus) gives a real insight into the country you're visiting. You arrive with fellow travellers having had a chance to get the feel of the place by travelling through it. Railway stations are often hives of activity and you get to see the city as locals do.

“The Hotel is located very close to the center and ~2 km away from a "european company ghetto"”

Interesting decoration of the general hotel areas rooms are clean but mine had mold in the upper corners of the bathroom on sheet had stains on it and looked rather old (often washed), the other one was in good, clean condition breakfast is surfed as buffet. sausage, ham, egg, scrambled egg, butter, chesse, bacon, salami, meat paste, some fruits, milk, coffee, juice (sirup with water), cereals, various kind of bread Overall, if you're looking for a room to spend the night near the center, go for it
