“Worked fine for a two day business trip”

I've spent two days in Zagreb for a business trip and used this hotel to stay in. I was satisfied with most everything but not overly impressed. Some of the service personel were nice, some not so much. The location was excellent for my purposes.

“Dated and dirty”

This place was overall disappointing. The room wasn't particularly clean; the carpets were filthy. The AC was also broken to which the person at reception said "a lot of poeple have been complaining about ." They do at least have internet, though no wireless. It is an older hotel so expect to have to unplug something to charge your cell phone. The only plug is in the bathroom otherwise.

Area recommendations

Stay closer to city center, it is where you want to be in Zagreb. There are tons of sobes to choose from.

“Very impressed”

Hotel is very convinietly positoned close to everything, just 10 min from city centar.In a safe area surranded with busy coffe shops and always exciting bakeries. It has got a good vibe and atmosphere, tourists constantly coming and going. Helpfull staff too. Maybe it needs more updated furniture in the foaje and reception area ,it looks old and dated. Those carpets dont do anything for the foaje. Will always go back for its position and size of the appartment room. Natalia-Johannesburg South Africa

“Recommended to others”

Good hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Only able to stay one night . A little out of the city centre, but enjoyed the central square and surrounding markets.

“4 fours sheraton zagreb”

We did not like this hotel because of its location. It was not in walking distance to the city center. Also tram spot was not at close by. So we had to take taxi several times from-to city center. Also, the couple staying next room had a huge fight that we could not sleep at night. Although hotel employee warned the fighting couple, they continued. Yet, the rooms were clean and tidy all the time. And the receptionist at the front desk was helpful. She got directions and service time of shuttle for the shopping center outside Zagreb.

“Moldy, smoky hotel”

We had reserved a no smoking room. The first room they gave was so smoky we could not get past the door. They upgraded us to a junior suite which was slighlty less smoky. The carpets were stained. The hall smelled of midew. Everything looked tired and old. The desk staff didn't seem like they cared about their customers.

Area recommendations

This area is near the sports stadium but that's all. There was a wonderful pizza/bar nearby called D&G pizza which was the best. The main city is a good mile and a half walk from the hotel and the tram is not all that convient.

“Good hotel, good stay, friendly staff”

The hotel is just outside the centre of Zagreb. It's not too far. you can take a cab and get there in less then 10 mins. it's only a $10 cab ride. there is also the tram, you just have to walk to it. overall the hotel is good. the staff very friendly, the restaurant was good. the rooms were really nice. i got bumped up to a suite because all the regular rooms were all booked. it was a great treat for me! i would recommend if you don't mind being a bit far from the centre.

Area recommendations

I would recommned you go to the centre (Trg bana Jelacica). they have great cafes and bars there. it was lots of fun and the drinks are cheap!

“Comfortable stay not too far from downtown Zagreb!. Not too bad!”

Not a bad place to stay. I stayed there for 3 nights and walked to and from the hotel all the time. Not too bad! Though quite remote from central areas. Still walkeable! Several open-air cafes by the hotel to enjoy coffee. If you prefer walking back to your hotel after a busy day in town, when you get closer to the hotel once you pass through an arch/train bridge there's a small fruits kiosk which is open late. I grabbed fruits on my way back everytime. My rate didn't include breakfast and I opted for some nice pastry and coffee in the morning. Pastry shops/bakeries are all around!

Area recommendations

Zagreb is such a nice place to be and enjoy life. Watch people too! I fell totally in love with the Croatian capital city!

Getting there

I flew to Zagreb and took a shuttle bus from the airport. It gets you to the Bus station (Kolodvor). From there you can hop on a tram and get closer to the hotel. Since I had a backpack only I walked. It's a long walk but still quite decent. Ask for a map in the Information kiosk at the airport or look for Inyourpocket guides. Those have OK maps too.
