We drove from Brussels to Ypres. GPS is essential. Entry via the Menin gates took us directly into the central square. Approximately half-way along the square you will see the Hotel O's sign directing you to a street on the left. The hotel is no more than approx 20 metres from that point. So easy to find. Don't try to check in before 2.00pm. This procedure is firm.
The owner is a charming and very engaging man who makes a point of meeting guests and asking about their visits. He is a mine of great information on the sites to visit. In our case, he suggested we visit a Belgian military cemetery on the way to the German cemetery at Langemark. It was well worth the small diversion to spend time at this lovely and peaceful burial and commemoration place.
We spent one night at this hotel, just due to our rigorous schedule, but would happily have spent more. It was our first visit to Ypres, and should we be lucky enough to return, we will definitely stay here again. It was very close to the Menin Gate and other sights, and in a very nice section of town. Some of the hotel rooms I have stayed in in Europe have been quite small, but this was very roomy - there were 3 of us sharing the space and were quite comfortable.

We booked this on the 'net for it's apparent convenient location. For us it was exactly right, it's close to everything that we wanted to see and do in Ypres.
Check in was friendly, efficient and helpful. They advised on a restaurant, booked it and it was so good we returned the following night.
When we go back to Ypres we will stay again without a moments hesitation.
Excellent large rooms in a small friendly hotel, well positioned near the centre of Ypres. Public car parking opposite hotel. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Mini-bar all included in the price!
