This property snuggles right into the charm of Yountville with a friendly front staff and a significant breakfast, included in the rate. Vintage House lives much like a corporate lodging option with style, but some of the basics are missing. The hotel rooms are roomy, but do not feature dressers and the closet space is very small. We like our clothes to hang and find proper homes in dressers, even for short stays. This is something to consider for longer stays. Like many old school corporate hotels, this property doesn't feature a lobby bar or onsite restaurant. For a lobby cocktail, we were told to visit their sister property on the opposite end of town, a very long walk. Vintage House does feature room service from what I understand? Sadly, our stay at this property was not restful, and I'd actually say it was restless. Our air conditioning gradually failed during our stay and on our check out day, it totally failed. We reported the issue to the front desk and were told many units experienced AC failures. I later reported the situation to management, but their response lacked accountability, which was sort of surprising, and will influence future Yountville lodging decisions. -In summary, if you are seeking convenient and charming, Vintage is a good option. If you are seeking a true five star, there are other options in the area to consider.
