Big rooms and nice location

Liked the roominess and amenities in our room. Good location not too far away from Yosemite valley. Service at restaurant was slow but everyone was ver friendly.

Close to Yosemite on the Merced river.

Posted 23-Dec-2014
Pros: The location is excellent, right on the Merced river. Our room was huge, with fireplace and kitchen. Very comfortable.
Cons: The restaurant could use improvement - the food was OK, not great. We were there in mid-December and the staffing was marginal and overwhelmed.
Location: Perfectly situated near entrance to Yosemite and Badger Pass.
Very good overall. The hotel accommodations are excellent, but the restaurant could be improved. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel on the doorstep of Yosemite Park!

Posted 09-Dec-2014
Pros: Proximity to the park.
Cons: Updated decor
Our room was upgraded to a river view which was a nice touch. The room was large, clean and comfortable. It had a kitchenette and a gas fire which is perfect for cold nights. The hotel is a little dated, though still charming, and as long as you accept that this is something basically all the hotels in the area are then you will be just fine and will enjoy your stay. The pizza was great! Go large for sure and then take your leftovers on your hikes the next day.

Great Location with a dirty room

Posted 08-Dec-2014
I choose this hotel because of the location to Yosemite Valley. The rooms were large but need some updating. My room was dirty, both the bathroom and main living space. Found used dental floss in the bathroom. Floors were dirty in the bedroom area, coffe pot was dirty.

Run Down with Many Flaws

Posted 08-Dec-2014
Experience was not great. First, the room was run down and old looking. But worse, the heater was not working in my room. There was no power at all to the thermostat, and the panel was slightly disconnected. Since it was December, this was not a good thing. The kitchenette sounded nice, but the kitchen sink was so small, I couldn't even fit a normal size plate in it to clean it off. The hotel provided no paper towels, and minimal utensils. On my second day, I realized that the room door was not locking. The handle was sticking, which didn't allow me to latch the deadbolt. Speaking of unlocked doors, the sliding door to the balcony was unlocked when I entered the room, which is a unforgivable security issue. I had to mess with it for 15 minutes to get it to lock before leaving for the day, and it I didn't notice, anyone could have walked in at any time. The beds are mediocre. The mattresses feel like the cheapest of cheap with tight springs protruding into my back. The hotel does not provide wifi to hotel guests without a $9.99 charge per day. And even when you pay that fee, you are lucky to get 1.5 Mbps - not even enough to stream a show on Netflix. Wifi should be standard in all hotels these days, but like their rooms, their policies are outdated. Finally, when I left the hotel, the lady at the front desk reprimanded me for not checking out correctly. From my experience, this hotel is certainly not worth the money. There are other better options around.

the hotel was great - located close to the park entrance, river view rooms which made the kids LOVE the balcony, and there's an indoor heated pool which was great for an afternoon activity.

Close to Yosemite

Tatian is the only good thing. The hotel is old and run down. The carpet and bedspread were dirty. The restaurant on site was awful.

Great location just outside Yosemite. Good price for the area and the attraction
