“very comfortable”

Used this as a one night stop-over but could have stayed longer! Huge room, very clean & comfy. Nothing flimsy here! About an hour south of Yosemite,fine winding drive into the park. Our host was more than happy to spend time with us when we asked about routes and was very helpful, friendly and informative.

“Came for the Name, enjoyed the Quality!”

We chose the B&B due to just having got a Puppy (thinking Hounds Tooth was a fun name). The B&B met all our expectations and is conveniently located for Yosemite. Loved the wine in the evening!

“Hidden Jewel at southern Yosemite entrance!”

Wow, what a cute romantic bed and breakfast right at the entrance of Yosemite. Good prices for the accomodations you get. Complimentary wifi and cable a plus. The bed was a bit small; I don't even think it was queen size. But my wife and I enjoyed how close it was to Yosemite; also like how close it was to Oakhurst where you can find restaurants and stores. Definitely will stay here again!

“Excellent location and service!”

Right on the main highway into Yosemite, this B&B was a nice place to rest and relax before visiting Yosemite National Park. Very quiet, our room was very large and beautifully decorated, with attention to details. Delicious breakfast was ready early for us as we were being picked up by a tour guide! Very well worth the price considering convenient location. Nice grounds to sit and relax, close to many restaurants. Innkeeper was extremely helpful and accommodating! Would definitely recommend to family and friends!

“We loved our stay will recommend and go back again”

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Hounds Tooth Inn. Our room was very clean and very cute. Loved the breakfast and enjoyed talking to the other visitors. The owners are very nice and gracious. This has to be one of our most satisfying experiences ever.

“Great B & B in Oakhurst Ca”

We had a wonderful stay at the Hounds Tooth Inn. The room was large and comfortable, the breakfast each moring was wonderful and the innkeepers were very nice. Would highly recommend it if you are going up 49 or to Yosemite.

If you are going to Yosemite be sure and go to Glacier Point. WOW. Great art galleries in Oakhurst and interesting placees to visit on hwy 49 within a hour from the Inn

“Excellent: Perfect for Yosemite National Park”

You can pay much more to stay in substandard and overpriced resorts in Yosemite National Park but if you prefer friendly service, a small friendly lodging, a clean room, and peace and quiet then the Hounds Tooth is for you. It's excellent - I can't recommend it enough. The park really is so close that you gain little by staying inside the park as opposed to being in Oakhurst plus you get the advantages of nice places to eat in town and other stuff to do.

Traveller's tip

Going to Yosemite National Park? ...don't bother with over-priced & under-delivering Xanterra Resort properties inside the park: stay outside, either south in Oakhurst or northeast in Lee Vining and make selective trips into the park from these bases - you'll save a fortune and get far better accommodation. Also don't bother looking for accommodation in El Portal it's really quite grim as well as being totally over-priced.

“Pleasant Stay”

We enjoyed our stay at the Hounds Tooth Bed and Breakfast. We were happy with the location and accommodations. The only thing we weren't too excited about was the breakfast. It was basically a continental breakfast, we were expecting a bigger selection. The inn keepers were very friendly and informative.

Traveller's tip

Yosemite National Park is only 12 miles away. The Inn is located near various restaurants and grocery stores!
