“receptionist was very rude.”
receptionist was not friendly at all. She made me feel very unconfortable.
“WiFi disappointing”
The hotel is great, it's clean, comfortable - however the WiFi signal which is near non-existent leaves much to be desired.
“good value”
the price was right and the included breakfasts good. Staff friendly and helpful
“Outside Yosemite”
Motel was fine. Bit of noise from highway. Rooms that face inside might be quieter. Breakfast was fine.
“Clean, good breakfast, but be prepared for slow check out”
Need a system for those who just want to turn in their room key and does not need a receipt ( a drop box maybe??). We had to wait for a long line of people who all seemed to need a receipt (and some who were splitting the bill between 2 cards). If the room keys were the usual "credit card" type, I would have just left them in the room. Since the key was a bit different, it seemed like we needed to turn it in. Otherwise, the room was clean and the bed quite comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good, though very crowded!
“convenient location for visiting Yosemite”
not too far from the entrance to the Park, this hotel is a good solution if you need a hotel for sleeping. breakfast is ok, internet access ok, rooms are clean and with fridge and microwave, which is good if you plan to stay for several nights. the restaurants in town are not really amazing, there is a VONS and Ralph's with ready to go meals available.
“Overall a good experience”
Motel is a good value and was clean and up tp date
“Out of desperation”
We stayed here overnight while visiting Yosemite NP. It's an hour drive at least to the main part of the park and best spots to visit. Next time we would spend the extra money to stay in the park, or camp so you aren't driving through the park to get to this hotel in the dark. We went at the start of fall (Sept 2011) so the sun still set quite late. The staff member at check in was the least interested person I've ever met. I'm not sure if we inconvenienced her by wanting to check in or she was always bored and tired but it was almost comical. We had a look at the breakfast that was included, but it wasn't very appealing so decided not to bother, instead went to Starbucks and were served by the friendliest barrista I've ever met.
“Love the location”
Not only was this a great location but the staff was friendly, breakfast was good and the views were priceless!!!!
“Overall good experience”
We booked the hotel when we can't find any open space inside of Yosemite park, and it turned out to be the right choice. We booked one night at curry village inside of the park, and the room is too cold to sleep. We felt so much more confortable to stay in this hotel after our bad experience in curry village. The breakfast is excellent and server are friendly. The only complaint we have is the location. Although the distance is not that much in mileage, it will take at least an hour for you to drive to the Yosemite park because the road is turn after turn. Anyway, if you care about your sleep and comfort moran than the driving, then this hotel will be a excellence choice for you.
