Stayed in family room which looked clean but we found a half-eaten pizza in its box in a drawer! Forgiveable though as it made us laugh.
Room big and airy, bathroom spotless and bed quite comfy.
The lady I spoke to on the phone (Margaret) was extremely warm and lovely and the Irish lad who checked us in was very helpful.
Extremely thin walls between rooms, otherwise decent place to crash for a night out.
"Very pleasant stay, our comfort was their mission"
I had my doubts about how this stay was going to go at first, with our host apparently blowing cool on the idea of ordering in vegan breakfast goods. However when we rang again to ask for some other directions we were put at ease over the breakfast arrangements, and ease continued to be the watchword. Nothing was too much trouble, and we would heartily recommend this hotel accommodation. Sometimes staying in a room over a pub can be a real pleasure, and this was one of those times.
We enjoyed our short stay and will go back. We would say not a ideal place for young family's to stay. As it is a Country pub and the loud music on the Friday and Saturday night we stayed ended 1am in the morning. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and hopeful.
I booked 2 nights stay here because the original hotel I wanted was fully booked, but have to say I prefer this one!!
Our room was in the extension and accessed via a back door on the first floor, very homey and nice not to have to walk through the hotel itself to get to our room. The room was very clean, the bed linen was very clean, the TV was fine, the bed was comfy.... Can't think of anything bad to say really....as someone who doesn't drink tea or coffee (which were both provided) it was good to have a complimentary bottle of water as well.

As mentioned above, I was met by Dawn with a smile, who made me feel very welcome.
The service and food were also good.
Breakfast was well presented and the checkout staff were also very pleasant and efficient.
Generally, a very pleasant stay... I will stay again when I am in the area on business.
Well done to all.
