"Pleasant stay, but don't expect helpful navigation"
My wife and I spent nearly a week here. By bus, it's ~90 minutes from Naha Airport. Check-in took maybe a minute. Our rooms were immaculate save for some mildew on the shower curtain and blinds in the bathroom. Breakfast was standard fare: eggs, bacon, miso soup, rice, salad bar, etc. One night, we had dinner, which was mostly izakaya-type food. Nothing was noteworthy save for the taco set. We were in the elevator when the staff was delivering steaks to the rooftop. They looked and smelled excellent, so we should have ordered that instead.
Main praise: One of the staff members, a short woman, aided us greatly in coordinating daily activities, calling local resorts to book snorkeling. She was professional and caring.
1. Nobody knew accurate pricing. During a pre-arrival call, I inquired about transportation to the hotel & rates. The actual cost for a monorail and bus was a quarter of what I was told. A cab to local resort Moon Beach with no traffic cost more than double their quote.
2. The older man at the front desk was insultingly useless when I asked how to get to Churaumi Aquarium. Twice. I told him we didn't have a rental car or bicycle. He showed me the route on a map and told me to run, swim, or hitchhike. He made no attempt to find a bus route. When I walked away the second time, he said, "No more English" and started speaking Spanish and French (I had used limited Japanese & English).
Good rooms. Not ideal location. Staff is hit or miss.
