I planned a mini vacation for my grandsons to the National Air Force Museum. I got the room for a very good price. I had planned it for 4 people, but at the last minute, my son decided to come along. When I called the hotel the morning of our check in to ask if this was ok, they agreed and offered to give us a roll-away bed, and also agreed for us to have an early check in. The staff was great, and very accommodating. The room was nice. Now for the main problem: When I booked this room, I did so because the hotel has an indoor pool. This was very important to me because both my grandsons (14 and 4) love to swim. The day we arrived, the pool was being serviced, which was ok because we went immediately to the museum. The boys were able to swim that night. After breakfast the next day, the boys wanted to go for a swim, but we found out the pool would be closed for the rest of the day, and night. The reason the pool was so important to me was, the morning we left for our vacation, the place were I worked had a massive fire. We did not know if we were to be off for a week, or a month. So, not knowing when I would get another pay check, I had to be more frugal with my money, and the pool would have helped in providing the boys with free entertainment. When I told the lady at the front desk, she was very sorry, and gave me coupon for $25, good at hotels or TGI Fridays. Had I been told about the pool, I would have stayed somewhere else. Other than that, it was a good stay.
