Hotel was really good close to where we needed to be
Maid could have replenished the coffee and milk after first night
So had black coffee on sun morn
But all very good none the less
Will be back as need to be in Wrexham quite often in near future
Fab hotel. Lovely quiet location but walking distance to village (Rossett) with pubs and restaurant. Short drive to Park and Ride so ideal for shopping in Chester. Our room was an executive room and although a little small it had a separate seating area and wardrobe on the door level and up a spiral staircase to bedroom and large bathroom. Lovely views of gardens and countryside.
Staff very helpful. Reported light bulb not working and it had been replaced by the time we got back from a stroll.
Would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return soon.

We were not expecting much, and what a pleasant surprise. The hotel is well located, close to Wrexham, and yet up a country lane surrounded by green gardens and fields. The sound of birds and peaceful atmosphere was lovely on a warm Summer's evening, especially with terraces and gardens to sit in. The staff were exceptionally friendly and more professional than many 5 star top rated hotels we have stayed in. The room was extremely large, and very comfortable. The decor has been updated although it is a little less than interior designed and a little dated in taste. Somehow this did not take away from the charm of the place. I liked the uniqueness of the hotel, this is not just another corporate hotel room. There is a "spa" - small pool and gym, peaceful and adequate, not in the luxury market but again rather quaint and perfectly good.
The restaurant and bar offered outstanding food, fresh, appropriate menu selection, well selected taste combinations, without being pretentious. The chef even produced handbaked cheese biscuits. Well above the usual hotel restaurant offering and not far off michelin star quality. Service again was excellent and despite the restaurant being full and eating in the bar one evening we were looked after with first rate care and attention.
Wifi in the room at no extra charge was exactly as it should be.
All round caring, friendly, great service, excellent food, good location with a family feel.
relaxing, quiet and a real indulging night away. We arrived in the grounds of the Lodge to a warm welcome by the owners. Coffee and tea, with cake were served and nothing was too much trouble. We were shown to our room and, from there on, we didn't hear any other guests or noise apart from the sound of a couple of chickens. A truly lovely place to stay.
Rossett Hall is a relatively small hotel in a very convenient location for Chester, Wrexham and North Wales.
My wife and I stayed in the modern wing, which was very comfortable. If you book over the internet be sure what is included - we thought breakfast was in the Expedia rate when it was not. However, the desk staff charged it to us at the internet rate not the published price - excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Although there was an event on while we were there, guests seem to have been separated and we were not disturbed. I would recommend the first not ground floor as there are some creaky floorboards! There are also a few eccentricities, like every room light comes on with the beside light and the bathroom light switch is by the door to the room not the bathroom.
The hotel had very good meeting/event/wedding facilities in the more characterful older part.
Overall it was a happy experience and offered much better value than the other local hotel, providing a pool is not essential then I would always return here.
