Nice motel with free wifi. Make sure you go down the road to the spa/pool- lovely pool, sauna and jacuzzi.

Everything about the hotel is good all but the heat in the rooms, although there was a fan in the room it was uncomfortable to sleep and it was not that hotter day & night. if they could do something about the heat i would give it 5 out of 5

Misleading Marketing

Posted 10-Apr-2014
Pros: Pool, facilities
Cons: Marketing misleading
Location: Nice countryside and canals.
The hotel is split into two sites. One very nice - the other like a motel. The motel site uses the main hotel's pictures for marketing so it's a bit disappointing on arrival - although you can use the main site's facilities which are very nice.

Stay for a 5 day intensive course.

Posted 11-Jan-2014
Pros: Plentiful parking. Good wifi reception in the room. Quiet and clean. Good shower.
Cons: Restaurant.
Location: On the A5 and 6 miles from Oswestry. 1 other pub and restaurant nearby.
Found the hotel through Expedia last minute as I was looking for a quiet place not to break the budget for a 5 night stay. Room was clean and tidy. Didn't interact much with the staff as I was away on a course for most of the day. Parking was plentiful and convenient. Didn't try the breakfast. Had dinner there 1 evening and was totally unimpressed. WiFi reception was very good in my room.

Strange hotel

Posted 30-Nov-2013 on Hotels.com
I was visiting Wrexham Uni with my son and needed a bed for the night. We arrived in the evening and did not find the hotel straight away and in fact drove into a school, also called Moreton Lodge, by mistake. It would help if there were clear sign-posting for the hotel on the main road. Once found the hotel is hard to fathom out. The reception is just a desk and the whole feel is like you are checking into a camp-site. The room was designed for a disabled person with low mirrors in the bathroom and a chair in the shower that we had to move out of the way to use. It was clean and comfortable enough and the burger supper we had at the adjoining Lord Moreton pub was very good. The price was quite low but probably appropriate for this level of accommodation.

A Bit Tired

Posted 10-Oct-2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel easy to find. Check in and out went smoothly. Bed was comfy and ample tea/coffee provided. No problems logging into wi-fi. No noise from traffic even though close to main road. Just thought the overall appearance of the hotel was a bit tired looking. Had picked the wrong location as needed to be around Chester so a bit of a trek back and to a few times a day but great location if going out for the day.
