We stayed at the DOM for a couple of days, as we were going to one of the Blenheim Palce Nocturne concerts. We hadn't been to either Woodstock or the DOM before. We liked it, because it had a very low-key, homely feel. We regularly go away for weekends, with four friends, and the DOM is on our agenda for 2016. We didn't manage to have dinner there, because of circumstances but the breakfasts were good. All the staff seemed genuinely friendly and couldn't have been more helpful.

Nestled just minutes from the hustle and bustle of the historic town of Woodstock, our hotel, close to Blenheim Palace, is a …More
The host was very welcoming and happy to give us any information we needed. He explained that our room was not ideal as it had no window, but it was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The bathroom was clean but in need of a little bit of TLC. We had chosen the inn for its location and were really pleased with the price, so didn't expect luxury. Breakfast was well cooked and very generous. The building is charming. We only needed the room as a place to sleep for one night after a concert at Blenheim and for this it was perfect.
Food very good although should have been served on hot plates .Staff very pleasant but were obviously under staffed . Room was small but adequate for a short break comfy bed and very clean with plenty of bottled water and tea and coffee .
I would suggest the owner hires more staff for front of house .One girl served our breakfast and was still there cleaning ? at about 8.30 pm when we came back from our evening meal
Set in beautiful countryside north of Oxford along the River Glyme, Woodstock is an attractive small town and home to Blenheim Palace: the seat of the Dukes of Malborough since the18th century, and one of the finest palaces in England. The old parish church has Norman features, and there are some beautiful old buildings in the town. The literary festival draws throngs of book lovers in September.
