We stayed for one cold and windy night on November 5th and the warm welcome from Andrew and Reka made us forget about the conditions outside. We sat in front of a warm fire enjoying pre dinner drinks and then went to our table to experience sublime food. After a good nights sleep in our comfortable well decorated room we enjoyed a well cooked breakfast. We will be back.
The worst bit was getting there using a satnav that selected the narrowest byways to the Watermans Arms. It turned out there were much easier routes!
The hotel was welcoming, did great food and drinks and the service was always very friendly and quick. The location is beautiful, next to a babbling brook with ducks and fish and just up the lane the river opened out to the tidal stretch, complete with stepping stones to get to the far side for walks in the woods.

A quintessential 17th Century Inn set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, at the bottom of a steep valley next to Bow …More
Enjoyed a fabulous night at this 18th century Coaching Inn. The room was spotlessly clean, very traditional in its theme and the welcome and service was second to none. If you are looking for something special at a very affordable price in a beautiful quiet village, I can highly recommend this place. I don't very often go back to the same hotel, always like to try something different, but this place I would certainly return to.
John and Christine made us very welcome for our two night stay in their lovely home. The room was spacious and spotless with excellent views over Dartmouth. It was tastefully decorated; the bed was very large and comfortable; luxury toiletries and a hairdryer were provided; good quality tea and coffee, fresh milk and filtered water; a digital radio as well as TV; lots of wardrobe space and comfortable armchairs. Breakfast showed the same attention to detail as did the high standard of the room. Freshly cooked with local produce it also included fresh juice, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, dates and cereal. Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful even providing a newspaper in case we wanted one. A decanter of sherry was available in the tastefully decorated lounge/dining area if an aperitif was required!
"Fabulous B&B very close to town, bars & restaurant"
Beautiful Victorian house. Although it comes under the category of B&B as it is a Victorian house the rooms are much bigger than a hotel room. There were all the extras you could want, ie hair dryer, iron & board, toiletries in the bathroom etc. The breakfast was excellent, first class. Jax the proprietor was attentive, welcoming and professional. Overall 10 out of 10.
