don't bother with this hotel

Posted 27-Feb-2015
Pros: dog friendly
Cons: knowledgeable staff, rooms upgraded.
Location: its winslow Arizona, there is nothing to do in winslow arizona
checking in was confusing, the desk clerk did not know our reservation was thru expedia and paid. she repeatedly stated the charge for the room would not occur until we're leaving. we gave up and just settled into the room planning on taking the issue up in the morning because the clerk was so confused and vague. the room was just ok at best. the bathtub did not have a plug, so a shower was he only option, we were only given 2 towels . in the morning I took my expedia confirmation to the desk clerk who consulted with another clerk to verify the room was indeed paid thru expedia. the clerk did not know how to handle the issue of having charged my credit card for a room that was already paid. this was not a good experience and if we ever have to return to winslow az, we would not book this hotel.

Very conscientious + friendly Breakfast attendant,

A nice hotel with good amenities. Stayed one night and the only improvement would be to put a call button or bell at the front desk. We had to wait several minutes each time we needed someone to come from out back.

Great value!

Posted 09-Oct-2014
Pros: Large room, sheets were very clean and had a pleasant aroma to them. The television was good. The lobby/public areas clean. Decent breakfast.
Cons: More outlets for charging electronics would be helpful.
Location: Located right off Hwy 40 in Arizona. Jumping off point to Sedona and The Grand Canyon.
We wanted an inexpensive room for the last night of a long road trip. I was worried that we would be compromising on cleanliness and comfort getting a lower priced room but was wrong to worry. The room was clean and had a neutral smell. No musty smell covered up with room deodorizing which is common in a cheap hotel. The room was set up for wheel chair access but caused no issues for us. I relied on ratings given by people who had stayed previously and that helped us make the decision to stay there.

Pleasant Hotel Stay

Posted 26-Jul-2014
This was a pleasant overnight stay during family vacation, located conveniently off I-40. Hotel lobby was clean, well-decorated, and welcoming (good first impression). Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There are only two floors. Our double-queen room looked and smelled clean; beds were clean and comfortable; no issues with plumbing and A/C. The in-room refrigerator was nice to have. We didn't use the indoor pool. The complimentary breakfast offered a good selection - biscuits, gravy, bacon, scrambled eggs, cereals, oatmeal, pancake griddle, juices, milks, and coffee. A mile west along I-40 at Park Dr. Exit is a Wal-Mart, Safeway, Taco Bell, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, and a Captain Tony's Pizza. We ventured this area in the evening, stopping at Taco Bell and Wal-Mart. There were numerous drunk vagrants and loitering locals in parking lots and streets watching out-of-towners and their vehicles. My teen daughter witnessed her first public urination by one of these vagrants on the front wall of Taco Bell. Despite being very street wise, we did not feel secure until we returned to the hotel.
