This is an excellent hotel. We have stayed here several times. Very quiet, excellent beds, very clean and chic. I'm very good at being critical and I can't say anything bad about it. One of our favorite hotels in the world.

For a 4 * hotel costing £160+, we were disappointed. Room was not great. Wardrobe was tatty with bare wood and a section above with wood strips across it. Sink in en-suite wouldn't turn off and were very stiff. Door bolt wouldn't work. Room was right next to staircase so you heard everyone clomping up the stairs at night and down in the morning. I know the hotel is an old building but with the sums of money they are charging to stay there, they should spend some on renovating it.
Front office staff were very pleasant and helpful and the room was fine, although the mattress felt a little tired. Housekeeping staff entered the room without barely waiting for a reply to her knock. None of this made for a terrible experience, as these comments are minor niggles. It is somewhere we would return to as the overall stay went well.

Great location for both Eton & Windsor castle/town centre, with friendly & helpful staff. The bedrooms are furnished to a better standard than most budget hotels, and the towels were changed daily. This is an old listed building and correspondingly somewhat quirky internally, if you cannot readily manage flights of stairs, then it's probably not the location for you.
There is a very small private car park at the rear, which guests with large vehicles' might find problematic.
Their 'pub' food menu is limited however, they use decent quality ingredients and the portions are generous, everything was cooked to order. Based on our dining experiences, we thought that their menu pricing was very reasonable and we would suggest that all guests should give their food a try.
The bar area is your basic traditional public house, and guests expecting a lounge type environment, with comfy chairs and the like, will be disappointed.
You'll get a respectable full English breakfast, plus all the other normal additions, fruit juice, cereals, toast etc, and the chance to indulge a wonderful hand-made fruit cocktail!
We would happily stay there again, and have no hesitation in highly recommending the Crown & Cushion to others as an excellent value-for-money establishment.
"Good for the price and quite convenient to windsor"
5 minute drive from Windsor. We chose to walk and it took about 50 minutes through a park. Hotel was quite basic. Carpets were stained in communal areas. Room was comfortable with towels and toiletries provided. Lovely powerful shower.
Breakfast was good. We would have like to have eaten in the hotel on the Friday night we arrived but there were no menus in the bar so we went out.
Not a bad hotel for the price and quite close to all the attractions Windsor has to offer
