Excellent 1 night stay, close to Stourhead National Trust. Dinner menu was good. Breakfast was good. Beer is Badger as pub is owned by Hall and Woohhouse. Bar staff very friendly. Bring your own shower gel, none provided.
Charming hotel, new owners have made the place very welcoming. The food is absolutely delicious and is always piping hot. All staff are friendly. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, the wonky floorboards add to the charm.
Breakfast included, all food cooked to order and delicious.
Check in was very quick, we were taken up to our room. The room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the road but the secondary double glazing did a good job reducing the noise which wasn’t an issue getting to sleep. Our room was a good size with everything you need for an overnight stop. The bed was nice and comfortable, breakfast was very nice and freshly cooked.
A historic property in a beautiful town. A river runs along the back and walks along it are easy and safe. The inn has large dining areas and dinner and breakfast were delicious. Room was small, but clean and quiet.
We had a lovely family stay here. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Food was delicious and rooms were comfortable and clean. Perfect little place to stay in. I would definitely recommend
This was a lovely little bed and breakfast to stay at whilst visiting longleat with the family. All the staff were extremely welcoming, the room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay again, thank you!
Nice clean & spacious room
Bed comfortable
Staff friendly & helpful.
Meal in evening was very nice as was the breakfast.
Is an old building so expect noisy plumbing
But did not effect our stay
No milk in the room was only negative.
Room very nice, clean and bathroom facilities good, toilet fitted to a Macerator which did make a lot of noise when toilet flushed or water was run in the basin or the shower being used. Bed was not made or tea & coffee replenished throughout our 3 night stay. Included Breakfast was good, with with a wide choice. Food available in the restaurant at lunchtime and in the evening. Adequate on site parking available
Great time away, it was so lovely, the breakfast was lovely and so was our dinner in the pub. The room was clean and quite, we had a wonderful stay and look forward to go back at some point. Would recommend this lovely pub. Staff really friendly, welcoming and made the stay even better. Thank you.
The George Inn is a proper Inn with many original features and a lot of history. The room was spacious with all the necessary facilities, although no bath in the room we had but a very good shower.
We found the bed a bit harder than we would like, but that is a subjective thing.
The food in the restaurant was excellent as was the breakfast.
Nice pub and hotel but no food after 8 and pub shut and locked at 10. Took me a few minutes to operate the entry system as was unaware of closing time or that I would need to use a system to enter. Breakfast room was a bit dreary. Room was nice and clean but difficult to work due to lack of desk/table space.
