My initial view of the property was pretty dreadful, the accomodation blocks reminded me of old council retirement flats they look so awful i was going to drive out without going in.
However the interior is much better but some areas and features are dated such as the doors, fire doors and stair cases through the corridors.
The rooms are ok but no fridge nor complimentary water which you would expect for the room fee charged.
The bathroom is modern but small.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
Didn’t use the spa so can’t comment on this.
Overall it was ok for an overnight stay but the cost for a very mediocre curry and glass of wine was £30 which is excessive and certainly not worth it.
I’m not convinced that the hotel offers good value for money bearing in mind the exterior and other issues so wouldn’t recommend or otherwise but wouldn’t be rushing back.
Holiday Inn should be doing better with this place imo as it’s better inside than out but a disappointing initial impression.
