It was a nice stay and wonderful place the only let down was the WiFi and trying to watch tv is absolutely shocking but other than that it was good

Overall everything was fine, what i would expect from a chain hotel. That is could have been a little cleaner in the room but good friendly service and decent food. The thing that really annoyed me was that they allowed a guest to eat breakfast in the self service dining room in his pyjamas!!!!! If they havent dressed have they washed? They should have refused him entry on my opinion.

Room was dirty food on chair when we checked in, sheets on bed very creased looked like they hadn't been laundered, lamp not working, frayed wiring on lamps reported all this to reception and all they said was sorry

The Hotel was in a convenient location with parking. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Room for 3 was good size. Stayed for 1 night only, en route, for a driving holiday and was very good stop.

Easy to find, nice and modern, good sized room with good facilities and a comfy bed. The food was reasonably priced with excellent service. Free car parking.

The hotel is ideally situated for all the tourist attractions and is of good quality, the restaurant was superb and the staff were all excellent. The only let down was the AC in the rooms. There is no natural ventilation, as the windows are sealed, so we were reliant on the room air conditioning. Our first room did not work at all and we sweltered all night. The reception staff were very helpful and switched rooms for us. The second room was not much better I am afraid, although slightly better still did not cool the room efficiently. These systems need overhauling asap. But all in all a nice stay with great staff.

During our two-night stay, we encountered several issues at this hotel. Upon arriving at our room, the AC was making a hissing and loud noise and not cooling the room down. We discovered that half of the outlets were non-functional, making it challenging to connect our electronics. Furthermore, the fire alarm repeatedly went off in different rooms during the first night, causing disturbance and concern. When we tried to call reception for an explanation, the phone was also not working, forcing us to go downstairs in person. The staff assured us that everything was fine, but the AC still didn't work properly, making the room uncomfortably warm. However, they provided us with a fan, which was a nice gesture. Despite someone from the hotel inspecting the outlets and phone, they couldn't identify the problem and only made a note to follow up, yet nothing changed. It appears that the hotel lacks proper maintenance, which affected our experience negatively.

Clean but the room did not have all equipment work
Chris was most welcoming at the Reception desk and he just spent the right amount of time explaining the breakfast/dinner/checkout times etc. The room on the second floor was very well prepared. Negatively, it smelt of cigarette smoke, shower water on/off had a part missing and almost impossible to turn the metal knob as the lever was missing. The master switch to operate the lights inside the door was broken and the floor standing lamp not working. Noisy air con and the window being sealed did not help when noisy a/c turned off at 3am by guest. Chris again at checkout time was polite and noted the faults. During breakfast on the Monday morning, they kept running out of food and there seemed to be not enough staff

Lack of attention to cleaning
The hotel is pretty standard Holiday Inn as you would expect. What let it down was a lack of attention to cleaning. By the window side of the bed was an A4 sheet for a bill from a stay in Ireland, I guess it was dropped in error by a previous customer. Also there was a dirty cup, a cloth and a plastic disc. Also the china cups provided were either dirty or chipped. What a shame it wasnt checked over.
