DoubleTree double up on service.
One night over the weekend before Christmas and from check in to checkout every aspect was near perfect (not everyone like sparkling water in the room but hey!) From the warm chocolate cookies handed out by reception staff to the little doggie treats, cleanliness of room and wider facilities. If we need a room in Swindon, this will be the destination of choice.

A great stay. Big room that was really needed with the family. Wonderful staff that were professional and caring. A very well cared for hotel that has the guest experience at it it's core aim. Would highly recommend and definitely return.

As a solo female traveller, I felt really safe here. The room was spacious, clean and had all the amenities I needed. I slept like a log in the comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and I was greeted with a hot luxury chocolate cookie, a little treat. I would recommend this hotel.

My room was quite unclean - all kinds of things from the previous occupier were still in the room like a shoe, an old sticky order form which I unfortunately touched and left a residue on me. Ok otherwise.

Business for 4 nights
Reception, bar and restaurant all very clean and modern with the staff in all three being very helpful and friendly. But the first night the fire alarm went off at 10pm then the next night another warning alarm went off at 3am. Rooms are very dated and the beds are uncomfortable and make alot of noise. Will not be staying here again.

Reception staff un helpful Tv remote didn’t work and had to phone down twice to request one that did. Eventually one of the reception staff brought one to the room and almost threw it at me. Said remote only worked about 12” away from the tv. Pointless

Very dog friendly, lovely reception area. Great sized room, perfect for a family with teenagers with a dog (we booked a suite). After messaging the hotel they made sure that we had a ground floor room near to an exit for the dog to be taken outside, which I thiught was really helpful.

I was looking for a reasonable priced room for four adults. I could only find double or triple rooms but this hotel had a suite that offered what we were looking for. Staff were really helpful.

The room was not worth the price paid. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was not cleaned properly (crisp crumbs on floor and remote control sticky). The room is very tired and in need of a refurb, particularly carpets, windows and bathroom. The reception and bar/restaurant is very good and food also very good. The most annoying thing was that when another room turned on the taps the water flows at a very noisy level.

Reception area was clean and modern. Rooms are slightly tired. Nice bathroom. Noisy during the night on my stay due to a few young kids playing out in the corridors.

Very good location and room and service excellent! Not sure I'd book again via Hotel.com as there seems to be a disconnect between the two parties. For example, I couldn't obtain a copy of my invoice for the room and had to fiddle around on the Hotel.com web booking to obtain a "receipt". As the majority of my bookings are business related, think it's easier to use Premier Inn.

We at Double Tree Swindon pride ourselves on our guest experience and making sure you are left happy with every stay.We are sorry to hear that you were having some trouble receiving your invoice via the third party. However, on our end it is a breach of GDPR providing it to you. The reason for this is you have paid for your stay via Hotels.com once your reservation is completed and processed payment is collected from the third party via one of their payment methods, we do not collect any payment directly from yourself. For this reason, we are unable to provide you a receipt with card details that doesn't belong to yourself regardless of it having your details on there. We hope you are able to understand our suggestion would be to book directly through Hilton's booking system or simple pay for the room using your own card at the hotel instead of in advance on the other booking channels. In this way you would be able to receive your receipt. We hope you do consider us again in the not-so-distant future since everything else was fine with your stay. Thank you again. Kathy Reception

Fabulous stay
We had an amazing stay. On arrival we were given some cookies and on entering the room we had bottles of water. The hotel was very clean and bright. The entrance is very welcoming and the room was lovely. It had everything we needed: a fridge, hair dryer etc. We had a family room (2 adults and 2 teenagers) The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very yummy with a good choice of food. I will definitely be staying here again.
